The meeting sign-in sheet is attached to this addendum. At the pre-bid meeting, Dana Brown & Associates (DBA) reviewed all construction drawings and stressed the importance of the SWPPP and the tree protection plan. Representatives from the City of Lake Charles and DBA discussed a typical project timeline. The bid opening will be on July 14, 2020. The council meeting to approve the selected bid will be held on August 5, 2020. The following questions were asked during the pre-bid meeting: 1. Bidder Question: The construction drawings on BidExpress are not up-to-date. Designer Response: The City of Lake Charles Engineering Department confirmed on 7/1/20 at 4:15pm that this has been resolved. 2. Bidder Question: Is the removal of dead existing trees included in the scope of work? Designer Response: No. The City of Lake Charles maintenance team will conduct this work prior to the start of construction. The following questions have been asked since the pre-bid meeting was held: 1. Bidder Question: How many days is project construction projected to take? Designer Response: As stated in the project specifications, the project should take 180 days to achieve substantial completion. 2. Bidder Question: Please explain why there is only 7,400 square feet of Bermuda grass listed in the plant schedule. Designer response: Sod will only be installed directly adjacent to the new pavement, to an offset of 2 feet. This totals 7,400 square feet. New turf is not required for the rest of the site, unless it is damaged during construction. 3. Bidder Question: Sheets LD-101, LS-101, and LS-102 are not scaling correctly, please advise.
