HIGHWAY 8 & 101 STREET TRANSMISSION LINE 7.82 RELOCATION PROJECT UPDATE PROJECT OVERVIEW In March 2019, ENMAX began its participant involvement program for the Highway 8 Project and 101 Street Project. Alberta Transportation directed ENMAX Power Corporation (ENMAX) to relocate its existing 138 kV 7.82L transmission line (existing line) to accommodate the construction of the West Calgary Ring Road. The proposed relocation will be effected by two separate projects: the relocation of the existing line running south along Highway 8 and the relocation of the existing line running parallel to 101 Street SW. As part of the participant involvement program for the proposed projects, ENMAX received additional information and feedback from Alberta Transportation and other stakeholders. ENMAX reevaluated and made refinements to the two route alternatives it originally identified in March 2019, and has identified a potential third route for the Highway 8 Project. ENMAX does not propose any refinements to the 101 Street Project. PROJECT DETAILS All potential routes for both projects remain within the designated Transportation Utility Corridor and will continue to utilize a single circuit, 138 kV transmission line, the same as the existing line. OPEN HOUSES ENMAX representatives will be available at four open house sessions to share information, gather your input and address any questions or concerns you may have on the proposed transmission projects. We hope to see you there. HIGHWAY 8 & 101 STREET TRANSMISSION LINE 7.82 RELOCATION PROJECT UPDATE

PROJECT OVERVIEW

In March 2019, ENMAX began its participant involvement program for the Highway 8 Project and 101 Street Project.

PROJECT DETAILS

All potential routes for both projects remain within the designated Transportation Utility Corridor and will continue to utilize a single circuit, 138 kV transmission line, the same as the existing line.

OPEN HOUSES

ENMAX representatives will be available at four open house sessions to share information, gather your input and address any questions or concerns you may have on the proposed transmission projects.

We hope to see you there.

PROJECT DETAILS CONTINUED

Highway 8 Project

ENMAX has identified three potential routes for the Highway 8 Project, all of which can be seen on the map enclosed. The above maps show the two route alternatives originally identified in March 2019.

The potential routes are as follows:

Refined South Route: This refined route would begin north of Discovery Ridge Heights SW behind the 200 block on Discovery Ridge Way SW and run west, until the line crosses Highway 8 where it reconnects to the existing alignment along 101 Street SW. The refined South Route is approximately 10 metres north of the South Route originally identified.

Refined North Route: This refined route would begin at 69 Street SW and continue west, paralleling the north side of Highway 8, then parallel Lower Springbank Road SW until the line heads west where it reconnects to the existing alignment along 101 Street SW. The refined North Route is approximately 7 to 40 metres (depending on the alignment at particular locations) south of the North Route originally identified.

South-Central Route: This newly-identified route would begin north of Discovery Ridge Hill SW near the 200 block on Discovery Ridge Way SW and run west, until the line crosses Highway 8 where it reconnects to the existing alignment along 101 Street SW. This route was developed as the result of further information provided by Alberta Transportation.

101 Street Project

ENMAX is not proposing any changes to the potential routing for the 101 Street Project. As described in March 2019, ENMAX is proposing to relocate the portion of the existing line that currently parallels 101 Street SW. ENMAX is proposing to move a portion of the line further west, closer to the boundary of the Transmission Utility Corridor. The proposed section of the existing line to be relocated is located north of Lower Springbank Road. The proposed relocation would connect with the existing line south of 14 Avenue SW.

TRANSMISSION STRUCTURES

The transmission structures for the existing line are a combination of wood poles and self-supporting steel monopoles which range in height from 17 to 26 metres. Subject to detailed design, the new structures for both projects are expected to be self-supporting steel monopoles, except for two steel H-Frame structures proposed for the South-Central Route. The new structures are expected to range in height from 17 to 33 metres. The increase in height is required to accommodate the West Calgary Ring Road and associated infrastructure.

The below table shows estimated structure heights, project distances and number of structures per route. Subject to approvals being granted by the Alberta Utilities Commission, ENMAX will conduct the detailed design for the project.
