General Ledger now has Ledgers. Replaces Set of Books.
A ledger Determines the currency, Chart of Accounts, Accounting Method, Ledger Processing Options and Subledger accounting method.
Ledgers are defined when you create accounting setups in Accounting Setup Manager.

Responsibilities One responsibility can now be used to access
multiple legal entities and ledgers. Data Access Sets are used to control access. When submitting a concurrent request you can
submit the report for one or all the ledgers/Legal entities that you have been given access to.
GL data access profile option replaces GL set of books.

Oracle Assets is fully integrated with SLA, which is a common accounting platform for Sub Ledgers.
Customers can use the seeded Account Derivation definitions or modify them as required.
Continue to support Account Generator functionality for existing Asset Books.
New SLA Accounting report and online account inquiry.

Enhancements have been made to the FA_MASS_ADDITIONS table. New Attributes have been added: Asset Life Depreciation Method Prorate Convention Bonus Rule Ceiling Name Depreciation Limit Plus others.
Web ADI has also been upgraded to include the new Attributes.

Avoid customization and use public APIs to effect custom business logic.

Fixed Assets
Automatic Depreciation Rollback Depreciation is rolled back automatically by the
system when any transaction is performed onan asset if the following conditions are met:
i. Depreciation has been processed in that period
ii. The period is not closed It is no longer required to run depreciation rollback program
manually. Depreciation rollback is executed only on select assets as
required and not on the entire Asset Book this enhances performance of the program.
