Rose making Activity with clay was conducted for class-II Rose is one of the most beautiful flower. Which can be made from clay. As the theme of the month was ‘Children Day’, young Dipsites made beautiful roses with the help of red and green coloured clay and decorated their class. They all enjoyed making roses with full enthusiasm.

CBSE National Football Tournament at Greater Nodia. Mr Saurabh Velvanshi with 14 participants of Delhi Public School Kolar Road Bhopal participated in this event at Aster Public School, Greater Nodia for 8 days. List of participants:

An “Inter house science Quiz Competition – “Battle of the Brain” was conducted by Science Department for classes VI TO VII . “Science is not only a body of Knowledge, but it’s a way of thinking and sceptically interrogating the universe.” Ms.sonali Kelkar, Rishika Solanki , Pushpmala Tripathi, Nidhi B organised the competition. All the team members of each house participated enthusiastically. Results of the competition : Amaltas House bagged the 1st position Kachnar House stood 2nd.

8.11.2017 (Wednesday)

Photo Framing making Activity was conducted in class- II. It is said that nothing but memory remains forever that too in the photo frame .To imbibing the feeling of belogingness ,unity and love in the family. Children made photoframes with the help of ice cream sticks, decorative material and pasted their family members photograph on it. All the students enjoyed this activity.

WWF india in association with ‘Capegemini launched ‘ one planet academy’a unique portal for schools to engage their teachers and students in learnig and exploring about the naturalworld and its conservation . This portal is an interactive tool for imparting education about enviroment and laying a foundation for building a sustainable future. A team comprising of eleven students and two teachers of DPS kolar road attended the inaugration of the website at paryavaran bhavan Bhopal .

10.11.2017 (Friday)

A special assembly on ‘Qafiya’ was conducted by the students of class II. ‘Qaafia’ is a device employed in a form of Urdu poetry known as Ghazali ( a poetic form consisting of couplets which share a rhyme and a refrain) On the special occasion of ‘Children Day a special quiz on rhyming words known as ‘Qaafia’ was conducted by the teachers of class II with full enthusiasm.

The team Participated in the National Inter DPS Hindustani Vocal Music Festival held at DPS Faridabad around 18 schools participated from all the zones and our school secured the 5th position. The theme of the song was ‘Motherland ‘. It was a nice platform to learn for all the students who participated in the festival.

Students of Delhi Public School Kolar Road excelled at Wiz National Spell Bee State Grand Finale at Indore on 5th November. Arush Navkar of class 5 A bagged second position in the state and has qualified for National's at Kolkatta on 26th December. Seven students participated in all. They were ranked as follows 1. Arush Navkar- Class 5- 2nd rank. 2. Saylee Deshpande Class 5- 12th rank. 3. Vihan Khare Class 5- 13th rank 4. Sulakshana Guha class-5- 16th rank. Category V 1. Harsh Tripathi class 8 -11th rank 2-Shourya subramanam class 7- 12th rank. 3-Aditya sai vardhan class 8 -13th rank. It was a remarkable performance by young Dipsites. The event served as an opportunity for students to prove their spelling competence, pronunciation and promoted a healthy competition.

On 11th November students of class XI & XII of Humanities stream went on subject enrichment Excursion to Sanchi. This knowledge trip provided the students a lot of information on history , facilitated practical understanding. It helped students make projects as it

provided theoretical and practical exposure of the subjects

13.11.2017 (Monday)

To celebrate ‘Children Day’ teachers of class III, IV and V put up the assembly for the students. Teachers performed dance, medley and solo songs. It was an enjoyable experience for the kids as well as for teachers.

14.11.2017 (Tuesday)

Field Trips connect school world with the outside world making it tangible and memorable'. An Educational Excursion was organized for the students of C lass 3 to ‘THE REGIONAL MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY, BHOPAL’ on 14th November, 2017. The students learnt the importance of plants, animals and their protection. Children got familiarised with different habitats and physical topography of Madhya Pradesh. Excursions develop sense of responsibility among students regarding taking care of the things and became a keen observer. Students also saw a movie on environment. This excursion was a novel learning experience for the students. The whole experience was like rewinding the time and going back to History.

Schools play an effective role to connect the youngsters to their history and culture’’ With the above objective Class II visited the ‘Tribal Museum’ on the special occasion of Childrens Day situated amidst lush greenery of Shyamla Hills. The various avenues of the museum viz displays of Jute, Handicraft, Poetry, Portraits made from bark of trees, and the world of indigenous tribes was depicted with authentic skills and finesse of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Overall it was a fun filled and an Educational Excursion and the students enjoyed whole heartedly.

Education excursion for the students of class IV and V was organized by Delhi Public School, Kolar road Bhopal on 14th November, 2017 to make Childrens Day more interesting and memorable .On this occasion the children visited Van Vihar National

Park, Bhopal. Forest officer Mr Rajnish Kumar Singh took the children through this wonderful joy-ride to the animal kingdom. The children saw many animals like tiger, panther, deer, crocodiles, peacock, dear and snakes. The children were also shown how these animals were caught and kept in cages. It was a wonderful experience for all the children.

“The Excursion is a novel Learning experience for the children” An educational Excursion to the state museum was organised for the students

of class III on 14th November.Children gained knowledge about the ecosystem, landforms and aquatic life. The museum also showed the physical and geo graphical distribution of the state. children also enjoyed the movie show organised at the Museum

The whole experience was like rewinding the time and going back to history.

Unity of India runs like a silken thread from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, Gujarat to West Bengal, and festivals of India tie them with the silken knot. To enhance the importance of the festival an assembly was conducted by Class I A, C and E.

17.11.2017 (Friday)

A State level Debate Competition “kya Sansad Prajatantra ka Aina hai” at Vindhyachal Bhavan Bhopal. Four Students of class XI Participated Pandit Kunjilala Dubey Rashtriya Sansadiya Vidhyapeeth organised State level Debate competition. the topic for the debate was – Indian Parliament is the mirror of Democracy 17 schools participated in this competition. Janhvi palandurkar of class XI secured second position she got a cash prize of Rs. 7500 and a certificate.

A painting competition was organised by Ace vision publisher pvt ltd, 22 students from DPS kolar participated in the competition. The topic for the competition was start up India

Pandit kunjilal Dubey Rastriya Sansadiya Vidhyapeeth organised state level Debate Competition. The topic for the debate was – Indian Parliament is the mirror of democracy 17 schools participated in this competition. Jahnvi Palandurkar of class XI secured second position she got a cash prize of 7,500 and certificate.

School Excursion is an important and effective means of motivating students and engaging them in active learning.” A good dog is a natural super solider strong yet acrobatic, yet obedient. The students of Castle of Dreams visited Police Dog squad on 17th November 2017, the purpose of this excursion was to make children aware of how dogs are being trained for the security of the society .The children also learnt how different departments work and police are their friends and they should not fear them unnecessarily. It was a fun filled excursion and children enjoyed the dog show to the fullest.

The meet unveiled the best of the athletic talents found in the sporting arena of

the school. The event commenced with the inspection of the parade. The Chief

Guest was led by the Principal for the same. A very impressive and a well

synchronized March Past by the four houses left the audience spellbound. The

Chief Guest unfurled the sports flag, declared the Meet open and administered

the oath to the office bearers followed by it was the ceremonial lighting of the

flame.

The Principal Mrs.Vandana Dhupar welcomed the gathering and read the Annual

Report which highlighted the exceptional achievements of the school, followed

by it was ‘Befitting Bugle’ a lively dance performance by the Primary wing.The

colossal gathering witnessed a high voltage track and field events of 100 m race,

200 m race, Relay race, 3 leg race, ‘Army Task’, ‘Army War',Crawling, ‘Call of

Duty’ etc. by the students that got the gathering on their feet cheering the

athletes.

Abreathtaking spectacle of Equine Show mesmerized the audience and followed

by it was the Annual Award Ceremony.

The ‘Armed Force Drill’ encapsulated the essence of the sports meet –the theme

‘Shapath’.The drill also showcased events of Kashmir’s stone pelting incident,

‘Uri attack’ and ‘Surgical strike’. These spectacular displays rekindled a spirit of

patriotism and renewed an awe and appreciation for the three wings of our

indomitable defence forces.

The Chief Guest in his address emphasized the importance of sports in a

student’s life and also appreciated the persistent efforts put in by the staff and

students in making the humongous event a success. The Pro Vice Chairman in

his speech stressed the importance of sports and also paid homage to the great

Indian Armed Forces.

In the Closing Ceremony, the lit flame was put off by the Beating of the Retreat.

The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Purva Shrivastava, the Head Girl of the

school.

A great day of achievements for DPS Kolar. Our students Anurag Chittavar ,Ananya Jaitly and Anirudh Kumar in the High School category bagged the Runners Up position in the Spellathon competition held by Education Edge at Billabong high School In the Middle School category Hersh Tripathi ,Vihaan Khare and B Aditya Sai Vardhan stood first and bagged the winner’s trophy. Students in the primary school category also showed remarkable performance amongst top 10 renowned school of the city .They were placed 4th.

‘Young Artist’ drawing competition was conducted in class II to encourage young despites to show their creativity in the field of of fine arts. Students were motivated to show their creativity of fine arts. Students were motivated to show interpretation of their chosen topic. They made different designs and painted

their T-shirts with different colours. Children participated enthusiastically and with full zeal.

3 rd Sr.chavara Inter School Dance Competitions was organised by St. Paul Sr sec co-ed school. Theme for the competition was classical (Indian). Ten schools from Bhopal participated in the event. It was a learning experience for the students.

P.E Dept organised the Inter House Chess Tournament and invited Mr Kapil Saxena, Joint Secretary All India Chess Federation for the Guidance of the students. Gulmohar house was

the winner in both the categories senior as well as junior.

18.11.2017 Annual Inter DPS Enviroment Festival 2017 was organised in Dps Mathura road . Our students & teachers have Participated in various category teachers Ms Abhilasha Prashar & Ms Monika Dixit Bagged 3 rd Prize .
