Arts Education Liaison A sta member designated by a schoolsprincipal who serves as a conduit or arts learning and helpsstudents meet New York State Instructional Requirements or Arts

Annual Arts in Schools Report Collects and synthesizes data onarts participation, spending, stafng and instructional programmingto provide a comprehensive view o arts education in city schools.The annual report includes individual schools and aggregate data

CEC Community Education Councils. Each CEC oversees aCommunity School District that includes public elementary,intermediate and junior high schools. It comprises nine parentso students in the district and two additional voting membersappointed by the borough presidents.

CEP Comprehensive Education Plan. This is the annualstatement o educational philosophy and approach preparedby every public school.

organizations that partner with schools to provide artseducation services.

DOE Department o Education. The governing body o the NewYork City public school system.
