Rabbi Felipe Goodman, Rabbi Adam Watstein and Cantor Avraham Alpert are organizing and preparing for the services. Jon Mitzmacher,  Jennifer Weiss and Jennifer Zukowski are organizing and preparing for youth services and children’s activities. Honors are being assigned, tickets will be printed and ushers are being appointed. Over the years, Temple Beth Sholom has developed our own local customs that have truly helped our services to be personal, rewarding and enjoyable. The following are reminders of some of these. Security, as always, remains an important concern. Please ensure that you, your family and your guests have tickets and photo ID when arriving at services because they will be checked. Tickets are non-transferable - there will be no admission to the building without a ticket . To park on property, a current parking sticker must be displayed . Be advised that stickers will change in mid-August, 2009, so please be sure to obtain and mount the latest sticker on your vehicle. In the past, citations were issued by Metro for parking on side streets too close to residential driveways. Please park in the designated street sections if the parking lot is full. You can also park at an overow lot to be announced, with shuttle bus service from that lot to the T emple every 20 minutes. Additional handicapped parking spots will be designated in our lot but, as always , it will be rst come rst served.  Entrance to the sanctuary for services is only through the doors leading to the Social Halls. Please cooperate with our ushers with respect to when you can enter. You will not be able to enter when the congregation is standing for the Amidah, Hineni or when the Rabbis are giving a sermon. Call the ofce to volunteer to be an usher! In consideration of all congregants, please avoid we aring strong perfume or cologne since many of our members have severe allergic reactions to them. Please dress appropriately if you have an honor and will be on the Bima (no short skirts for ladies and arms covered; jacket and collared shirt for men)  Please limit talking during services and, if you must talk, please go outside the building.  All cell phones must be OFF or on VIBRA TE (if physician). There is no texting in the building on the High Holy Days. If you have an honor during the services, please RSVP in advance, arrive at least 30 minutes ahead of time and let one of our honor distributors know you are present.  Single strollers will be permitted, provided the parent selects an outside aisle seat in the social halls. High Holy Day services at Temple Beth Sholom are truly a very special time for all of us. It is a wonderful opportunity for our extended family to see and catch up with each other. More importantly, it is a time for us all to reect on the past year and look to the future. Thank you in advance for helping us all enjoy this very special time of year.
