NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 4(i)(b) of the Right to Information Act, 2005 (Central Act No.22 of 2005), the detailed information relating to the Department of Health and Family Welfare is published, as here under, for the information of General public. The following Departments are under the Administrative control of Health & Family Welfare Department.

3. Establishment of Government Pharmacy College, Bangalore and Pharmacy Colleges.

2. Service matters relating to staff of Health and Family Welfare Secretariat.

3. Conduct of Staff Meeting/MMR Meeting 4. Supply of Stationary to all sections of Health & Family Welfare

Departments. 5. All Co-ordination matters.

II) The Powers and duties attended to the officers and employees of this department are indicated below in accordance with Secretariat Manual and other orders issued by the competent authorities from time to time: 1 Dalayat To keep the office neat and tidy. To deliver the files /

tappals to other sections/ departments as per the instructions contained in the Secretariat Manual of Office Procedure.

2 Junior Assistant He is in charge of the work of diarising the receipts and taking of movements of files distribution of receipts/ files in the concerned Section and any other work to be entrusted to him by the Higher Officers.

3 Typist In charge of the typing work in the Section. 4 Case Workers

(Sr. Asst/Asst) To attend receipts, files and other duties attached to the post as per the procedure laid down in the Secretariat Manual.

5 P.A./Stenographer In charge of tappals / files received at the stage of Under Secretary/ Section Officer. Typing and Stenography work entrusted by Under Secretary/ Section Officer. Taking dictation, receiving tappals / files from the Secretary, Deputy Secretary. Any work to be entrusted to them by the superior officers in case of urgency.

6 Section Officer He is the Custodian of the Section and responsibilities lies on him with regard to dealing, submitting scrutinising of all files and receipts submitted by the case workers. Apart from this, his duty is to supervise the movement of officials and monitoring of the files.

7 Account Superintendent

He is working in IFA and to attend files pertaining to Audit paras, C & A G, Inspection Reports, PAC reports etc.

8 Finance Officer He is discharging the duties of Budget work and any other work to be given by the higher officers.

9 Under Secretary Branch Officer in charge of the whole Sections. Scrutiny of files submitted by the Section Officer. Issuing Government Order/letters/ Circulars/Notifications etc., on behalf of the Government. He is the supervising authority.

10 Deputy Secretary & IFA.

To discharge the duties of financial matters in accordance with the Orders, Circulars etc., issued by finance department. Opinion on the files to be given submitted by the sections of Health Department.

11 Deputy Secretary Senior officer in charge of Ayush, Drugs Control Department and R&I Section &Co-ordination wing. He is looking after overall administration and supervision of the Sections attached to him. Other responsibilities if any, will have to be discharged as per the orders/instructions of Secretary.

12 Head of Legal Cell

Offering views in all Court cases of the Department

13 Joint Secretary He is looking after overall administration and supervision of the sections attached to him. Other responsibilities if any, will have to be discharged as per the orders/instruction of Secretary.

14 Secretary Head of the organisation and acts in his capacity as Head of the Department.

III) The Procedure followed in the decision making process, including channels of supervision and accountability. The procedure followed in the decision making process is indicated as follows: Case Worker The responsibility has been fixed on the allotted work.

He has to discharge duties in accordance with the rules specified in the Secretariat Manual.
