Comprehensive Predictor and six weeks of ATI Virtual ATI.

Virtual ATI begins 6 weeks prior to graduation and continues 6 weeks after graduation. These assessments identify areas for remediation and opportunities for improved test taking strategies.

Assessment outcomes will be analyzed weekly using ATI-generated reports. NCLEX Remediation Advisor will develop individualized NCLEX Success Plans for all students based on assessment outcomes. (Appendix II: NCLEX Success Plan)

Students will engage in 2 hours of in-person, faculty-facilitated, group NCLEX preparation each week during their last semester. (Appendix III: NW 234 Syllabus)

NCLEX Success Plan Agreements that include reimbursement for testing and licensure fees offered to all students who receive a “green light” through Virtual ATI before taking the NCLEX exam. (Appendix IV: NCLEX Success Plan Agreement)

Predictor, and Virtual ATI into final semester of program through collaboration between Department Chair and ATI Educator. Completed April 2017. Faculty from Brookfield and Kenosha campuses who facilitate NCLEX preparation courses have agreed to provide mentorship to Madison faculty. In-person mentoring of Madison faculty completed in May 2017; ongoing as needed. Half-time NCLEX Remediation Advisor position added and position filled May 2017. Department Chair provides oversight to NCLEX Success Plans and NCLEX Success Plan Agreements, and support to NCLEX Remediation Advisor.

April 2017 Individualized NCLEX Study Plans developed by NCLEX Remediation Advisor based on assessment outcomes on the ATI Content Mastery Series (CMS) Adult Medical Surgical Proctored Assessment, and all subsequent CMS assessments. The NCLEX Remediation Advisor will evaluate and report progress against the Study Plan every week. (Appendix V: Student Study Plan form)

January 2017 Undergraduate Catalog

Conditional Admission to Pre-Licensure Nursing Programs

Nursing students admitted conditionally to Herzing pre-licensure nursing programs must meet the criteria as defined below in addition to the university-wide “Undergraduate Admissions Criteria.” International applicants also must comply with all “International Undergraduate Student Admission” application requirements. There are no conditional admissions to the Second-Degree, Accelerated BSN option. Those students scoring less than the 66 on the TEAS test may be offered enrollment in the traditional program options if all other required admissions criteria are met.

Associate (ASN) or Bachelor’s Degree (BSN) Admission without a College Degree Option

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

A high school or college grade point average (GPA) of *2.0 or higher. Achieve at least a composite score of 51 on the most current version of the Test of Essential

Academic Skills (TEAS); TEAS score must be from within one year of anticipated date of matriculation.

Brookfield-Kenosha, Atlanta, Madison, and Minneapolis Campuses Criteria

Brookfield-Kenosha, Atlanta, Madison, and Minneapolis campuses are not included in the Conditional Admission policy for the Pre-Licensure Nursing Programs. Please see “Unconditional Admission to Undergraduate Pre-Licensure Nursing Programs” for admissions criteria.
