The Award will be made by considering the record of performance, the organisation’s contribution to thecommunity it serves and its commitment to overall sports development. The following criteria should be usedby clubs to guide them in completing a “Club of the Year” application. It is recognised that not all the criteriawill necessarily apply to all organisations. All claims made in the application must be verifiable and withstandpublication.

PRIMARY SCHOOL OF THE YEAR ��When considering the information submitted the number ofchildren on role will be taken into account and this should beclearly stated. The following criteria should be used as a guidewhen completing the nomination.How did you improve the quality of P.E. and how did it make animpact on participation and standards?How did you increase participation in school sport?Were young leaders used to run or support activities?Was competition used to engage pupils?How did you use P.E. and school sport to improve achievementacross the school?

COACH OF THE YEAR ��Involvement in any level of coaching and showing high levels ofachievement when developing improved individual or teamperformance. The number of coaching sessions undertaken,coach education courses, etc., and the current Governing Bodyqualification should all be indicated.

SPORTSMAN OF THE YEAR ��An individual over 19 years on 31.12.12 who has achieved a highstandard of performance and success during 2012, atinternational, national, regional or local level.
