The San Fernando Valley League wound up in a triple deadlock for first placethis fall among North Hollywood, Canoga Park and Van Nuys. It was almost as hardfor members of the Helms All-Southern California Board of Football to pick thetop performer in the League, for co-players of the year were chosen, Norton Gellerof North Hollywood and Leon Criner of Canoga Park.

Geller is described by his coach, Johnny Sanders, "as the best lineman wehave ever coached." Norton played continuously and very seldom if ever came out ofa ball game. Criner had a total offense mark of 1,157 yards, scored 36 points andpassed effectively. Both boys will receive their player of the year medal awardat the Nineteenth Annual All-Southern California Board of Football awards programto be held at Helms Hall on Saturday morning, January 14th.

There were no repeaters from last year's All-Valley selections, although thereare bound to be some next year as seven lOvofer classmen were named to the two teamsthis fall. There were three juniors on the first team•••••Bob Campbell, CanogaPark end; Jim Fouts, Van Nuys guard; and Jerry Mollett, Van Nuys back v·Tho was theleading scorer in the City with 90 points on 15 touchdowns.
