THIS WEEK’S DESIGNS
TASK 1 (5mins) – Consider the RESEARCH you did the other week as well as the 3 DESIGNS you have already produced – have a look at them
and think about how you could come up with 3 additional designs Could you combine some elements of last weeks’ designs together? Could you Combine some more of your research together in a
different way? Could you make your designs more complex this week?
SPEND SOME TIME LOOKING AND THINKING BEFORE YOU START THE NEXT TASK
TASK 2 (30mins)– Now to start SKETCHING out THREE
MORE OF YOUR OWN DESIGNS based on this
summary (you may want to get some extra images from online to help you do this) Each design sketch should be
A5 (half of A4) in size How can you combine some
of the elements of the designs in your research together?
What else could you include from some of your other
coursework? Start sketching and thinking
on paper to come up with your 3 designs
EXAMPLE: See the examples below that are my sketches
TASK 3 (30mins)– Now to start ADDING PEN work to your designs to make them look more visually exciting
and also more 3D
Use a black biro for this if possible
Correct any mistakes in your pencil sketching or adjust them as you go
along Add more detail
Add some elements of tone: think about where there would be shadows
underneath these 3D elements
EXAMPLE: See the examples below where I have added my pen work

SOME NOTES to your designs to make them look more

and darker colour You could also add some
light colour into background areas
