From the Commissioner of Technical Education letter No.28073/B5/2009, dated 10.09.2011. ----- ORDER:- In the Government Order first read above, Government have issued orders to pay Rs.50/- per hour for theory classes and Rs.25/- per hour for practical classes, subject to a maximum of Rs.1000/- and Rs.500/- per month respectively as remuneration to the staff handling Part-Time (Evening Colleges) Diploma Courses in Government Polytechnic Colleges and Special Institutions. 2. In the Government Order second read above, the Government ordered to pay Rs.100/- per hour for the Theory Classes and Rs.50/- per hour for the Practical Classes subject to a maximum limit of Rs.4,000/- per month as remuneration to the Part-Time Staff working in Government Polytechnic Colleges and Special Institutions. 3. In the Government Order third read above, the Government have ordered to pay Rs.150/- per hour for the Theory Classes and Rs.100/- per hour for the Practical Classes subject to a maximum limit of Rs.6000/- per month as remuneration for the (part-time) Lecturers handling the Shift System Classes which were introduced in 14 Government Colleges in the year 2009-2010. 4. In the representation fourth read above, the part time teachers represented that the remuneration of Rs.100/- per hour for theory classes and Rs.50/- per hour for practical classes subject to a maximum of Rs.4,000/- was very low and they requested the Government to raise the remuneration to Rs.250/- per hour and 150/- per hour for theory and practical classes respectively without prescribing maximum limit. ORDER:-In the Government Order first read above, Government have issued orders to

pay Rs.50/- per hour for theory classes and Rs.25/- per hour for practical classes,subject to a maximum of Rs.1000/- and Rs.500/- per month respectively asremuneration to the staff handling Part-Time (Evening Colleges) Diploma Courses in

Government Polytechnic Colleges and Special Institutions.

2. In the Government Order second read above, the Government orderedto pay Rs.100/- per hour for the Theory Classes and Rs.50/- per hour for thePractical Classes subject to a maximum limit of Rs.4,000/- per month asremuneration to the Part-Time Staff working in Government Polytechnic Colleges andSpecial Institutions.

3. In the Government Order third read above, the Government have orderedto pay Rs.150/- per hour for the Theory Classes and Rs.100/- per hour for thePractical Classes subject to a maximum limit of Rs.6000/- per month asremuneration for the (part-time) Lecturers handling the Shift System Classes which

were introduced in 14 Government Colleges in the year 2009-2010.

4. In the representation fourth read above, the part time teachersrepresented that the remuneration of Rs.100/- per hour for theory classes andRs.50/- per hour for practical classes subject to a maximum of Rs.4,000/- was verylow and they requested the Government to raise the remuneration to Rs.250/- perhour and 150/- per hour for theory and practical classes respectively withoutprescribing maximum limit.

5. In his letter fifth read above the Commissioner of Technical Educationhas also requested the Government to enhance the rates of remuneration uniformlyto all staff working on hourly basis / part-time basis in Regular Courses / Shift

System / Evening Classes (Part –Time) as per rates given below:-

Rs.200/- per hour for Theory ClassesRs.100/- per hour for Practical ClassesSubject to the maximum limit of Rs.15,000/- per month.

6. The Government have examined the representation of part timelecturers and the proposal of the Commissioner of Technical Education careful and inmodification of the orders issued in the Government Orders first to third read aboveand direct that the following rates of remuneration be allowed uniformly to all staffworking on hourly basis / part-time basis in Regular Courses / Shift System/ EveningClasses (Part –Time) in Government Polytechnic Colleges and Special Institutions

with effect from the date of issue of this order:-

Rs. 200/- per hour for Theory ClassesRs.100/- per hour for Practical ClassesSubject to the maximum limit of Rs.10,000/- per month

7. The expenditure sanctioned in para 6 above shall be debited to thefollowing heads of accounts:-

(i) 2203 00 Technical Education – 105 Polytechnics –   I.Non Plan – AAGovernment Polytechnic Colleges (Men)-33. Payments for Professionaland Special Services -02 – Remuneration. (DPC 2203 00 105 AA 3328)

(iii) 2203 00 Technical Education – 105 Polytechnics – I.Non Plan ACSpecial Diploma Institutions – 33. Payments for Professional andSpecial Services – 02 Remuneration. (DPC 2203 00 105 AC 3324)

(iv) 2203 00 Technical Education – 105 Polytechnics – Schemes in theEleventh five year plan-II State Plan PC Central Polytechnic College,

8. Necessary additional funds will be provided in RE / FMA 2011-12.Pending provision of such funds, the Commissioner of Technical Education isauthorised to draw and disburse the amount. He is also requested to sendnecessary proposals to include this expenditure in RE / FMA, 2011-2012, without fail.

9. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide itsU.O.No.233/DS(KM)/11, dated 24.10.2011, Additional Sanction Ledger No.725(Seven Hundred and Twenty Five).
