As the new year approaches, it presents the perfect opportunity to reflect on what the most recent year brought, the challenges we faced, the success we were fortunate to achieve and, most important, the positive impact we had on our patients’ health.

Here are a few highlights from 2015 that represent the hard work and dedication of our clinicians and staff. This past summer, we opened our new Milford Medical Center, which houses our urgent care service as well as a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic treatments and services.

In October, Robert Levine, MD, and the Thyroid Center of New Hampshire joined St. Joseph Hospital Endocrinology, creating a robust thyroid and endocrinology service for our patients.

Also this fall, we launched an early detection lung cancer screening program with the goals of educating the community on the importance of screening, providing high-quality care for those in need and ultimately improving survival rates from lung cancer. Through the generosity of many, the inaugural Care for a Cause Gala raised both funds and community awareness to benefit this important program.

Looking ahead to 2016, we will continue to develop and expand our specialty services. An orthopedics practice with three fellowship-trained physicians, in affiliation with clinical expertise from Lahey Health, will be available on the hospital campus and close to the lab and x-ray department.

Early in 2016, our family medicine practice in Merrimack will be moving to a more patient-centered space at 4 Dobson Way in Merrimack. The same dedicated physicians and staff who have cared for you and your family will continue in a new, convenient facility just minutes away from our current location.

To learn more about our dedicated clinical teams, expanded services and new affiliations, please visit stjosephhospital.com.

On behalf of the entire St. Joseph Hospital family, I wish you and your family good health in 2016.

Sincerely,

Rich Boehler, MD President and CEO, St. Joseph Hospital
