OverviewExposure to workplace psychological hazards and an individual’s psycho-logical health, is a key priority and focus area at Interflow.

This project has several evidence-based initiatives to drive the creation of a ‘mentally health workplace’, whilst improving employee engagement, commitment and our culture.

Our commitment? We will!• Design and manage our work and workplace to minimise harm• Enhance the personal resilience of our people• Promote, facilitate and make it easier to seek help early• Support our people experiencing mental health challenges• Raise awareness of mental health challenges and reduce the

barriers to seek help or offer support• Promote healthy job roles and work environments

Our initiatives? We do!• Re-launch and promote the Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

utilisation• Offer personal resilience training and skills development through

Harm to Zero (H20)• Provide suicide awareness and prevention education through

Mates in Construction (MIC)• Lead a Mentally Healthy Workplace - provide guidance and

coaching for leaders through HSE Risk Leadership training• Continue to grow the support given to our 2 key community part-

ners (Smith Family and WaterAid)• Build ‘exposure to psychological hazards’ into current and future

risk management processes• Establish a wellbeing committee to decide on and assist to imple-

ment complimentary wellbeing initiatives• Implement a suite of actions as a result of annual culture and

engagement surveys

Our Objectives? We do!• Improve the mental health and wellbeing of workers• Promote fitness for work and work life balance in everything we

do• Reduce the risk and impact of workplace psychological hazards• Reduce the rate of injuries, illness and absenteeism of our people• Improve engagement, productivity, resilience and morale of our

people• Become the employer of choice for our industry

Our Targets? We will! (Dec 2021)• 5% reduction in absenteeism• 30% increased utilization of EAP• 100% of employees receive resilience training through H20 train-

ing in 2021• 30% improvement in employee engagement scores through cul-

ture survey
