COVID-19 ASSUMPTION OF RISK

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is reported to be extremely contagious. The state of medical knowledge is evolving, but the virus is believed to spread from person-to-person contact and/or by contact with contaminated surfaces and objects, and even possibly in the air. People reportedly can be infected and show no symptoms and therefore spread the disease. The exact methods of spread and contraction are unknown, and there is no known treatment, cure, or vaccine for COVID-19. Evidence has shown that COVID-19 can cause serious and potentially life-threatening illness and even death. Woodward Camp cannot prevent you or your child(ren) from becoming exposed to, contracting, or spreading COVID-19 while utilizing Woodward Camp’s services or premises. It is not possible to prevent against the presence of the disease. Therefore, if you choose to utilize Woodward Camp’s services and/or to enter onto Woodward Camp’s premises, you may be exposing yourself and your child(ren) to, and/or increasing you and your child(ren)’s risk of contracting or spreading, COVID-19. ASSUMPTION OF RISK: You agree that you have read and understand the above warning concerning COVID-19. You choose to accept the risk of contracting COVID-19 for yourself and/or your child(ren) in order to utilize Woodward Camp’s services and enter Woodward Camp’s premises. You acknowledge that these services are of such value to you and/or to your child(ren), that you accept the risk of being exposed to, contracting, and/or spreading COVID-19 in order to utilize Woodward Camp’s services and premises in person.

Personal Health Hand Washing & Hand Sanitizers Hand washing and hand sanitizing is a critical measure to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 or other communicable illness. Hand washing stations are located in all cabin and bathroom locations. Additional hand sanitizer dispensers are placed inside all entrances to buildings, inside and outside housing facilities, and in every food service queue. Hand sanitizers will contain at least 60% alcohol per CDC guidelines. Water Bottles We highly recommend all campers and staff bring their own reusable water bottles to utilize at our water hydration stations. Bottled and reusable water bottles also available for purchase in camp canteen, coffee shop, and smoothie bar. Physical Distancing All individuals on campgrounds are encouraged to maintain physical distance measures of at least six feet of separation from others whenever possible. Lines/markers for check-in, meals, and other gathering times will be established to maximize distance. Dedicated entrances and exits in the cafeteria and canteen establish one-way traffic to minimize close encounters. Staff and campers will be reminded during orientations to not share any possessions with others and to not touch their face, whenever possible. Cohorts A cohort, or grouping, system will be implemented to assist our COVID-19 task force and response team with contact tracing. The cohort system has been recommended by the CDC, ACA and adopted by the PA Department of Health. Should any member of our camp community notify us that they have tested positive, the cohort system will allow us to better determine the names of other campers and staff members who may have come in close contact with the infected individual. A camper will likely be a member of more than one cohort which will contain other campers such as cabin mates, instruction and training partners, and dining companions. Once a camper has been assigned to their respective cohorts there will no changes allowed in order to maintain the integrity of this system. Should contract tracing be implemented following a positive test for COVID, the cohort system, in conjunction with our daily activity schedules, will assist our response team in communicating with camper parents and guardians, staff, and health officials.

Responsible Behaviors All camp participants will be reminded of responsible behaviors such as physical distancing, proper sneeze and cough etiquette, increased hand washing and using hand sanitizer, following instructions within activities, and protecting self and others as much as possible. Signage Robust safety signage has been posted throughout the property. This includes: healthy camp literature with importance on reporting symptoms & illness, proper handwashing, sneeze & cough

etiquette and physical distancing signage. PPE guidelines for medical, food service, and housekeeping are posted in all back-of-house areas. Pre-Arrival Communication All camp attendees will receive pre-arrival communication that includes our parent guide, illness policy, COVID-19 disclaimer, and a pre-arrival health assessment. Within these materials, we inform camp attendees to stay home if they do not feel well, have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 14 days, or are exhibiting symptoms of illness. Camp attendees will also be asked to monitor their temperatures for 14 days pre-arrival to camp and to stay home if they have experienced a fever higher than 100.3 within that time. The pre-arrival health questionnaire will be required to attend camp.

Employee Training and Responsibilities Onboarding Pre-arrival training will include additional and specific modules for communicable disease and COVID-19. Awareness training will include signs and symptoms to watch for in self and others. Protocols and procedures will be reviewed to ensure employees know how to promptly report possible cases to the medical team, following HIPAA guidelines, so camp attendees can receive immediate care and communication is expedited to those potentially exposed. All arriving staff will present a completed pre-arrival health assessment before entry into camp. Temperature checks and a visual exam for health will be conducted by authorized personnel. Our Illness Policy will be followed and updated as needed. Resident Employees Employees living on campgrounds will undergo ongoing temperature checks and/or exams as deemed necessary. Living quarters will be spaced out for maximum distance between individuals with a minimum of six feet apart. Commuting Employees Employees living locally will undergo a temperature check and/or exam as deemed necessary, upon arriving to work each day. Trained and qualified personnel at our front gate will admit staff after passing daily health check. Time Clocks Hand sanitizer will be located at each time clock and employees will be required to sanitize before and after clocking in/out. Time clocks will also be disinfected overnight. Time clocks are distributed across campgrounds to separate departments and reduce volume.
