What’s health?

The World Health Organization (WHO) defined health in its broader sense in 1946 as “A state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity."

What we must do?

To obtain a good state of health we must practice some activities or behaviors that help us to achieve this state. We call these behaviors: healthy habits

Healthy habits1_ Eating a balanced diet:These are examples to have a good balanced diet

Drink a lot of water: helps to purify the body, removes toxins, helps us digest food better, accelerates metabolism workHigh fiber foods: helps to prevent diabetes and obesityReduce fat consumption:Limit salt: we avoid developing hypertension and other cardiovascular diseases.Chew each mouthful 20-30 times: This is very important to help the digestion

With adequate food cardiovascular disease, obesity, osteoporosis, etc. are prevented

We can say that the key to a healthy diet can be summarized in two fundamental ideas: Moderation and variety

Healthy habits2_ Maintain adequate hygienic habits, some of

them are:Get a daily shower.Wash our hands before and after mealsBrush our theeths after mealsKeep clean our space

It is very important to maintain proper hygiene habits, which are intended to preserve our health.

3_ Accident preventionWith age our physical abilities as both our senses and reflexes

are reduced, leading to increased chances of accidents increase , to avoid these accidents we must pay attention in our daily activities and how we do it.

Healthy habits4_ Enjoy the free time:One of the key factors to enjoy life is to be able to

use your free time in a enjoyable and satisfying way, some examples are:Know how to enjoy with the nature.Travel with important persons in our life or along to meet more people…Found a hobbies to pass the time.Stay with the family and friends and make activities with them.

Although it appears that no stress impairs our mental, emotional and physical health.

Healthy habits5_ Exercise our mind:As happens with the body, we must also exercise the mind to work perfectly.

We must known that it is also very important to do "Mental Gymnastics“, with all this we will be able to maintain the good work of our brain with some games like chess, reading books…

6_ Practice sports:Being fit means a general fitness, which allows you to perform any type of

activity. This physical state is composed of a good cardio-respiratory fitness, muscular fitness, flexibility and proper body composition.

To all this things we can also add some other important factors that you obtain like: A way to relax and forget the rest.To have new relationship, with other players to meet new people.To sleep and take a rest better.Be happier

If you practice sport, you are going to feel better with yourself and your body, and is going to help you with the rest

Healthy habits

7_ SleepSleep is one of the most important functions of our body and we

should not live it. It’s during sleep when our body is getting forces again. Some motives why we have to sleep are:

Keeps our heart healthy Reduce the stressIncrease the memory Reduces the risk of depression Make us more active

When you practise sports you must do:Sleep at least eight hours the day before.Have breakfast/lunch one hour before the match.Drink a lot of water during the match, before and after.Do a general warm-up especially with the parts of our body that more are going to work.At the end, when you finish, stretch while the muscles to prevent injury

Unhealthy habits

Don’t practice sportBeing stressedDon’t stay a lot of time watching TV…

Bad habits can be considered all behaviors that are against good habits some of them are:

Sleep less than necessaryDon’t drink waterSmoking, alcohol and drugsA bad diet
