Cookies Thanks to all the families who sold cookies. Our profit margin on these is so good. That is why we continue to do this as a major fundraiser. The cookie draw will be tomorrow. There are still a few people who havent paid for the cookies so if you want to be in the draw for the prizes please get it in before assembly tomorrow. REAL Values – Term 2 focus Our values of RESPECT, EXCELLENCE, ACTION, LEARNING. Are embedded into our school and all the things we do. We teach the students what these values are, and how they can use these in their everyday lives. At the moment we are focusing on - REAL kids are ready for learning. This means having the right gear, the right attitude and being prepared in the classroom. This includes remembering to bring togs for swimming. Paid Union Meeting On June 27 there is a paid union meeting for teachers at the Opera House. It will be in the afternoon and we will be closing the school at 12.30pm. More information will be coming home about this shortly. Head Lice We are getting quiet a few children presenting with Head lice here at school. We understand the frustrations with keeping headlice at bay. If you require some support/treatment please come and see us at school. School policy is if we see headlice on your child we have to send them home for treatment. Tea tree oil in shampoo is a good preventative, also brushing your child's hair daily helps to prevent them. Queens Birthday Holiday On Monday June 4 school is closed for Queens birthday. Enjoy the extra day off with your families. Go the highlanders!! Supporting each other We are so proud of our caring school

community. If you would like someone to talk to or know of someone, a child or Parent who would like someone to talk

to, we have Jeannie, our school social worker. She is here to support children as well as Parents.

you can contact her confidentially on: Jeannie: 0274046211

As a parent there are times when we may be faced with events that leave us feeling anxious or

distressed, Skylight also offers support, you can contact them on 0800299100

Or Youth help 0800376633 or free txt 234

There are a few nasty bugs going around at school . If your child vomits please make sure that they are kept at home at least 48 hours after the last time they vomit. This should help any nasty bugs not to be passed on to other children. Encourage your child to wash their hands especially after going to the toilet and before eating.
