Easy Apple Pie

Hart Recipe of the Month

Ingredients

2 cans apple pie filling

Cinnamon

Loaf of bread

1 cup sugar

2 eggs, beaten

1 ½ sticks butter

DirectionsPreheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 9-by-13-inch pan with cooking spray. Cut apple slices into smaller, bite-size pieces and place entire contents of the can into the pan and sprinkle with cinnamon. Cut the edges off the bread and cut bread into strips. Place bread strips on top of apples. Melt butter and mix with sugar and eggs. Pour over the top

of bread. Cook for 1 hour. Top will brown and it looks like you worked for hours. Serve with ice cream.

Copper-bottomed pans heat faster on

the stove. In the oven, ceramic and

glass dishes are better than metal. With

ceramic and glass dishes, you can turn

the oven down about 25 degrees, and

your meal will cook just as quickly.
