You will need: A long cardboard tube (used for kitchen towel) Card Scissors Masking tape Paint Glitter and sequins Glue Lentils or rice Activity 1. Paint your tube any colour(s) you like and leave to dry. 2. Decorate the tube with sequins and glitter. 3. With an adult’s help, make a lid: draw round the opening twice and cut the circles out. 4. Use the tape to attach one over one end. Make sure it is stuck down well! 5. Ask an adult to help you fill the tube with two big spoonfuls of rice or lentils. 6. Use the tape to attach the other circle over the end of the tube and again, stick it down securely. 7. Paint/decorate over the masking tape. 8. Tip the tube from side to side to hear the rice fall and make some music! Book Activity for 7-11 Year-Olds
