The Songs of the Sea festival is about to start, but disaster has struck! The royal musicians will be performing, but all their instruments have disappeared...Harper and her friends use her flying umbrella to come to the rescue, and that very night they start hearing beautiful music coming from Melody Bay. Will they have the courage to walk along the pitch-black smugglers’ tunnels passing under the sea to find out who has stolen the instruments?

You will need: • A long cardboard

tube (used for kitchen towel)

• Card

• Scissors

• Masking tape

• Paint

• Glitter and sequins

• Glue

• Lentils or rice

Activity1. Paint your tube any colour(s) you like and leave to dry.

2. Decorate the tube with sequins and glitter.

3. With an adult’s help, make a lid: draw round the opening twice and cut the circles out.

4. Use the tape to attach one over one end. Make sure it is stuck down well!

5. Ask an adult to help you fill the tube with two big spoonfuls of rice or lentils.

6. Use the tape to attach the other circle over the end of the tube and again, stick it down securely.

7. Paint/decorate over the masking tape.

8. Tip the tube from side to side to hear the rice fall and make some music!
