Window cleaning, single unit maintenance or

transition points require the minimal level of

anchorage as there is no travel required. In

these situations Harcon Services can provide

you with a wide range of Safety Eyebolts.

Safety Eyebolts positioning should always be

determined by a competent person,

following the recommendations of BS

7883:1997 clause 8 where appropriate. Our

competency ensures that your anchorages

are positioned and installed in the perfect

position to provide 100% safety through

minimised fall risk while ensuring that the

user is not hindered by the anchorage.

Our safety eyebolts for use in brick, concrete

and masonry have a 16mm diameter

unthreaded shank to ‘plug’ a drilled hole,

thus reducing the bending effects which

would result in earlier failure during shear

loading and available in mild Steel or

stainless steel construction.

This is the standard eyebolt for use in

steel, brick, concrete and masonry.

Attached using knurled sockets and

chemical resin, or with locking nuts or

locking compound and backing plates

where required suitable for the

structural material. Tested and installed

to EN 795 and BS 7883.

Supplied, designed and installed to

EN795 class A and BS7883 Standards.

Never use eyebolts, other than EN 795,

as Fall Arrest Anchor Devices – the

wrong eyebolts in the wrong situation

could prove Fatal.

Harcon Services offers a comprehensive selection of

Class A1 safety anchors designed to offer you the most

effective fall arrest protection for carrying out high level

window, façade cleaning or other building maintenance

operations from an ‘open window’ position. This is the

standard eyebolt for use in steel, brick, concrete and

masonry. Tested and installed to EN 795 and BS 7883.

It is important to note that the correct eyebolt to be

used to suit the material and the positioning is

determined by a competent person. (see our legislation

section).

For masonry the fixings are knurled sockets which are

affixed to the structure using a suitable chemical resin.

The eyebolt is then inserted and pull tested to confirm

the adhesion of the resin.

Fixing to steel work is performed by either drilling

through the steelwork, fixing the bolt and nut with a

locking compound or locking nut (and back plate if

required) or by a competent welder. The decision of

which method is to be used is determined by the

structural integrity requirements and the competent

person on site.

All standard eyebolts are available in a wide range of

lengths to suit different requirements of structure, and

in a Galvanised, Stainless Steel or White Coating finish.
