Happy Birthday Blessings! Calder- 4/09 Sydney- 4/13 Bethany- 4/20 Collin- 4/22 Joyous News! What a wonderful week celebrating our Savior. He is RISEN, and the students are filled with joy and ready to celebrate with their families this Sunday. Thank you to all of our parents that made our Easter Brunch and Hunt as HUGE success! We were blessed with wonderful Spring weather as an added bonus. Speaking of celebrations….if you are baking/cooking with eggs this weekend, could you please save the egg shells. I would love to be blessed with about 30 egg shells….preferably the largest possible portion you can make after you crack it. We’ll be planting grass seeds and we need the eggs shells to be tall enough to hold the dirt. Thank you soooo much! We will be using them on Tuesday. Ryder started us off with 3 beautifully cracked eggs. I’d rather be safe and have an abundance due to the fragility of the egg! We will be continuing our study of plants…..be ready for the back bulletin board to be transformed! Unless…..you want to be surprised for Open House! YeeeeeHaw! We are trotting on over to the Chico State Farm on April 10 th . We are scheduled to take part in their Ag Day at 10:30am (please note the time change). Due to this change, we are planning on enjoying a picnic lunch at the farm. I will be sending out an email with more detail Have a blessed with weekend celebrating our Savior’s Resurrection. I will be praying for safe travels for all of our sweet families! Blessings, Mrs. Solano Math We will continue to strengthen our number sense. Easter will still be inspiring us for some “eggstra” math fun! I am awed by our litltle ones’ abilities to identify place value….keep up the hard work and continue to challenge your little one to identify the ones and tens of a number. Keep up the great work counting past 100 by ones, fives, tens….and two!! Language Arts Review week! All the vowel phonemes have been covered. This is great time to strengthen their ability of identifying sounds to aide in their ability to phonetically write words with more accuracy. Keep up the great reading every night! Encourage your little one to identify the characters and settings in the stories that you read at home. Ask them to predict what they think will happen next in the story. Remember to use concepts of print to guide discussions with your child as you read (identify the title, author, illustrator, how to turn the pages, reading left to right, how do we use the pictures, discuss the different types of punctuations, etc.) Keep up the great work reviewing our heart words: here, was, little, said, what, and, do, this, for, you, are, play, is, on, see, I , we, can, like, the, a, am, by, go, at, it, to, an, in, have. The kiddos got their color words on the wall…yay!!!Keep working hard on those number words, too! red, yellow, blue, orange, purple, black, pink, brown, green, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. Don’t forget to join us for Chapel on Tuesday@ 8:45- 9:20am as we continue our journey through Bible and creating our own timelines! Our time in the Word in class will reflecting the timeline taught during Chapel. The little ones will continue to learn the following verse through March: He is not here. He has risen. Luke 24:6 Please practice reciting the memory verse at home.
