Here are some tips to protect your home from hail. Before Purchase and monitor NOAA All Hazards Weather Radio for hail activity or visit www.flashweatheralerts.org to download a severe weather alerts App for your iOS or Android powered device. If reroofing, select an impact-resistant roof covering that has passed the UL2218 or FM4473 impact resistance test with a rating of Class 1 through Class 4. Class 4, the most impact-resistant rating is highly effective against hail damage. Select an established, bonded, licensed and insured contractor for reroofing and secure at least two refer- ences. If hail is forecast, close your drapes, blinds or window shades to prevent potential injury from broken glass blowing inside. During Do not try to go outside to protect your property during a storm.
