CONDITION OF INDERAL RESERVE B.'JTTCS Fu.rthor increases in the holdings of war paper and acceptances and. cor- responding increases in not deposits are indicated in the Federal Reserve Board's weekly bank statement issued as at close of business on July 11, 1$1S« Met gold withdrawals during the week aggregated 1J.1 millions, while gold withdrawals since June 6, the Friday preceding the removal of the gold embargo, totaled about 20 millions. The Federal Reserve note circulation shows a decline for tne wevk of 14*2 millions as against an increase of 52-3 millions in war paper and of 25.4 millions in acceptances. The banks show a decline of about 11 millions in other discounts on hand, while Treasury certificate holdings show a further addition of 6 millions. Total earning assets went up 7616 millions and for the f i r s t time are in excess of 2-g M l lions. The amount of war paper held under rediscount for other Federal Reserve b.jiks shows a slight decline to 06.3 millions, while the holdings of acceptances purchased from other Federal Reserve brnks declined by 5»7 millions.. Government deposits are shown l4«3 millions and members 1 reserve, deposits 35.7 millions larger than the week before, while the "float'* carricd I37 the re- serve banks is 30<3 millions less. Other deposits, including foreign government credits, declined about l4 millions, with the result that net deposits work out 70*4 millions in excess of the previous week's total. Total cash reserves show a decline for the week of l$.l millions.
