DISTANCE IS ONE-WAY. Elevation: 9,400 feet at Lake Eldora Ski Area; 11,080 feet at Guinn Mountain. Open To: Cross Country Skiing, Snowshoeing. Dogs are prohibited on this trail . Access From Nederland, head south on Colorado Highway 119 for ½ mile. Turn west onto County Road 130. Follow signs to the Eldora Ski Resort. Park on the south side of the road at the Forest Service sign for the trailhead, located outside the Eldora Ski Resort parking area (trailhead is located just east of the Eldora sign). Trail Highlights The Guinn Mountain Trail turns right (north) off the Jenny Creek Trail 2.3 miles from Eldora Mountain Resort area. The trail begins as an old road, climbing steeply. In ½ mile, there is a cutoff to the south that drops back down to the Jenny Creek Trail, if you wish to turn around before the steepest section. Just after passing an abandoned building, the trail leaves the road and makes a steep climb up a ravine. The trail switchbacks west above the ravine floor and continues up through the woods and then a long east-west meadow to the Arestua Hut. Important Information Dogs are not allowed on the Guinn Mountain Trail. The Arestua Hut is maintained by the Colorado Mountain Club. Contact them for use information. Both parking and access to the Jenny Creek and Guinn Mountain Trails are available through the cooperation of Eldora Mountain Resort. United States Department of Agriculture WINTER

Access
