School Bags Research carried out by the Department of Education in August 2000, revealed that heavy school bags and bags with wheels cause damage to the spine: the research document may be found by proceding to the following link: https://education.gov.mt/en/resources/Documents/Policy%20Documents/handling%20of%20heavy%20schoolbags.pdf This [the school bag] should be made of a light material, and should NOT have wheels. Its interior should be compartmented to prevent shifting of the contents from side to side. It should have two shoulder straps, which should be used so that the bag is carried squarely on the back. The shoulder straps should be padded, to prevent any “digging” effect at the shoulder. The length of the straps
