PRESENT CONTINUOUS
El "Present Continuous" (Presente Continuo) lo utilizamos cuando
queremos hablar de acciones que están ocurriendo "ahora" o, en un
tiempo cercano a "ahora" o, que no han terminado.
Por ejemplo: Estoy comiendo (I'm eating) o, estoy leyendo un libro (I'm
reading a book). En este último caso, te refieres a una acción inacabada,
no a que estás leyendo el libro en el momento en que hablas.
Form (Forma)
Para formar el presente continuo se utiliza:
Pronombre (sujeto) + verbo auxiliar "to be" + gerundio (infinitivo + "-ing") del verbo.
Sujeto Auxiliar (to be) Gerundio

talking, eating, learning, doing, going...

talking, eating, learning, doing, going...
Structure (Estructura)
1. Affirmative Sentences (Frases afirmativas)
Estructura Sujeto + verbo auxiliar ("to be") + verb + -ing.
o Ejemplos:o I’m talking. (Estoy hablando.)
He's eating. (Él está comiendo.)
They're learning. (Ellos están aprendiendo.)
2. Negative Sentences (Frases negativas)
Para armar frases negativas en presente continuous se utiliza:
Sujeto + verbo auxiliar ("to be") + auxiliar negativo ("not") + gerundio (verbo + ing)
o Ejemplos:o I'm not talking. (No estoy hablando.)o He's not eating. He isn't eating. (él no está comiendo.)o They're not learning. They aren't learning. (ellos no están
aprendiendo.)
3. Interrogative Sentences (Frases interrogativas)
Para armar frases interrogativas en present continuous se usa:
Verbo auxiliar ("to be") + sujeto + gerundio (verbo + ing)?
Ejemplos: Are you talking? (¿Estás tú hablando?)
o Is he eating? (¿Está él comiendo?)o Are they learning? (¿Están ellos aprendiendo?)
