#Confidential and Proprietary. Do Not Distribute.Started in .First customer FAA, and we have been working together with FAA for all of these years and hopefully to many years to come.Gathering expertise and experience in different technical areas: enterprise architecture, simulation, modeling, systems engineering, environmental modeling, safetyBig break in 2010 all that hard work came to fruition when we were awarded two large contracts by the FAA: SE2020 where we are SIR 2 small business prime, and ATO Office of Safety Support contract on eFAST. This took us from a small business category into full and open category.3CSSI ApproachUnderstand clients environmentMission, Vision, StrategyUse multi-disciplinary teamsExperts in the fieldOperational expertsDeploy technology whenever possible to solve clients problems#Confidential and Proprietary. Do Not Distribute. What I like to discuss to you is one reason why CSSI was able to create such a lasting relationship with our FAA customer and grow as a company.

At CSSI we believe in three-pronged approach when working with a client.First of all we want to understand clients environment and problem space.Second we want to hire people who are experts in their field as well as people who understand the customer environment; Use multi-disciplinary team and technology to provide solutions

Third we want to use technology when-ever possible to solve client's problems

4eFAST: Office of Safety and Technical TrainingWorking with the CustomerUnderstand the mission: To operate the safest aerospace system in the world via SMS implementation and highly trained employeesEmbrace the vision:Reactive to proactive and predictiveDevelop a safety strategy:Valuing input from frontline employeesDeploying technology to gather dataImproving analysis to identify riskEmbrace corrective actions to mitigate risk#Confidential and Proprietary. Do Not Distribute.FAA Mission: Safety is the paramount responsibility, the main focus and the central point to the mission of the FAA: to operate the safest, most efficient aerospace system in the world.

AJI Mission ATO Safety and Technical Training's mission is to support ATO leadership and operations with robust safety and quality management systems for use by well-trained, highly competent employees equipped with the necessary technical and safety risk management skills they need to accomplish the ATO mission.

SMS - Began implementation in 2005; approved in 2010

AJI Vision: Move from a reactive to a proactive and predictive approach to safety. This vision is dictated in a way by all our accomplishments with respect to reduction of accident in the NAS. Small number of accidents, forces us to look at accidents precursors such as incidents, unwanted events, and causal and contributing factors to those. Developing data gathering, data aggregation, and risk analysis tools to will enable us to move to a proactive and predictive safety approach.

AJI Strategy - Each program is designed to engage individuals as part of the overall safety strategy. Taken together these programs are helping us to identify and mitigate safety risks. Our success is being judged on the improvements we make to the safety of the NAS.

#Confidential and Proprietary. Do Not Distribute.InfoHUB: ATC infoHub is the second web-based tool that helps track facility safety issues and provides insight as to how those facilities have managed to fix their safety problems. ATC infoHub stores safety information, best practices and lessons learned, and will serve as a great resource for facilities that may be experiencing problems similar to ones already recorded in ATC infoHub. Facility input is obviously essential for this tool to be effective, and both the FAA and NATCA urge facilities to consistently report information to ATC infoHub. We especially value our frontline men and womens input, said Manzione. Theyre the ones who really know what works and what doesnt. Its important for everyone to speak up and get involved. Local Safety Councils (LSCs), which are currently being implemented at all facilities nationwide, will regularly update both new tools. LSC training will begin this April. NATCA Daily Dispatch 3/4/2013.

PFS website: The Local Safety Council also used a lessons learned portal called ATC infoHUB to help track this risk, allowing the TRACON to identify the risk, describe mitigation plans and assign tasking to members of the council. This information was only available to the Local Safety Council during the process. Once the overshoot issue was completed, the council chose to publish their experience at a national level and share best practices that other councils can use when dealing with similar situations.

PFS website: Once established, Local Safety Councils will have access to local data gathered through ATSAP and other sources through the Safety Data Portal. This data is used to identify safety concerns and formulate ways to address those concerns through collaboration.

#Confidential and Proprietary. Do Not Distribute.RAP:Risk Assessment Process (RAP) tool (two different ones) how did we change it? Improved interface, login, worked on the algorithm used to determine risk, authentication, CHANGED from tool to application. Changed user interface, improved performance, reliability, incorporated common taxonomy,RAP Detail display Note the highlighted Risk score. The score is calculated based on the answers shown in the various sections of the RAP and gives a rough guide to the possibility of future events.Separation Details are pulled in from CEDARThe new RAP tool uses the Common Taxonomy Hierarchy to select Associated Risk FactorsThe user can scroll through and search the Taxonomy to determine Risk FactorsOther reports in Business Objects can help analyze multiple RAPs based on common Risk Factors
