Learning outcomes:
Applicants shall possess a BSc. in Engineering or Natural Sciences from a recognised university.
Entry requirements
A total of nine taught courses, 4 credits each.
(24 credits core courses and 12 credits electives)
Capstone project, 9 credits.
Total credits: 45 Duration: 2 years (full time)
Course Structure
Power Generation – Rankine & Brayton cycles and their application (4 credits).
Basics of Energy Engineering and Auditing- energy analysis and auditing , buildings & air-condition (or HVAC) design (4 credits).
Energy Efficient Design – related to buildings, the Leed Standard (4 credits).
Developing & Evaluating Proposals for Energy Systems – conventional & renewable (4 credits).
Economics & Finance as applied to Engineering (4 credits).
Research Methodologies (4 credits).
Core Courses
Advanced and Renewable Energy Engineering – technologies in energy engineering & production (4 credits).
Management of Engineering Projects – advanced economics & project management techniques for large construction projects (4 credits).
Laws, International Conventions & Standards as applied to Engineering (4 credits).
Capstone project (9 credits)
