Big Bazaar is a chain of hyper markets in India, currently with more than 125stores. It is owned by Pantaloon Retail India Limited, Future Group . It has considerablesuccess in many cities and small towns. The idea was by pioneered by entrepreneur KishoreBiyani, the CEO of Future Group. Currently Big Bazaar are located only in India. PantaloonRetail is the flagship company of Future Group. The lines of business of Future Group are:

Design was consistent and self expressiveDesign is to get as much people in to door as possibleGood utilization of resources

Store Layout:

Big Bazaar around the idea of contemporary Mandi or Bazzar Stocks have been organized but not hung for displayBilling Counter is near to the exit way so it is easy to leave after purchasing

The model is based on maintaining margin and drawing customer in masses, enough to get the buzz going around the store

The product in the big bazaar are arranged in order and product is placed segment wise

Interior Design:

Ceiling have red stripes on white background..Most of the interiors are made of Blue & Orange.Lighting quality is that good which make each & every things visible.

In colour they mostly used blue, orange and white with red strips. In logo they usedBlue and orange

In music the light back ground instrumental was playing in order to attract customer And it feels good to customer while purchasing

5) Announcement :

They announce of offers and schemes to the customer to make easy to know about the offerseasily at every floor and it keeps customer attraction towards the voice.

The big sign board was on the top of the entry and exit gate. The board was in blue,Orange colour and super market is written along with big bazaar, and a bird picture is

engraved on board as a logo of future group

Front Gate :

It was completely made up of glass. Entire outlet was visible from outside and it is inbig area it look attractive and censor was in the front gate to check the customer whotaken goods from the bazaar

Locality :

Retail site is located at kothrud, it is among the main areas of pune, the city pride kothrudis near by big bazaar and there are many college near to big bazaar. This helps them to

create sales .

Parking :

Good parking facility provided by them to a large area to the customers, so it not create problem to the customers and it is free of cost

They had different pricing strategy at different time. Sometime they have different priceat morning and evening as well

Discount is for all the customer but high discount to the person who purchase in bulk

2. Where you see bigbazaar after 5 years?Objective of bigbazaar is to deliver everything , everywhere so after 5 years bigbazar wantsto open its retail stores all across INDIA and make it approachable to each of an INDIAN.

3. Why big bazaar offered ‘SABSE SASTE 3 DIN’ on January24/25/26--2009?Kishore Biyani had offered ‘SABSE SASTE 3 DIN’ because he wanted to make theREPUBLIC DAY truly memorable to the Indian Customers by providing best shoppingdeals and savings to them.

4. How you feel as working for bigbazaar?Working here is great pleasure,it’s not because of it is INDIA’s biggest retail chain butthey encourage us by giving providing us great environment to work.

5. What do you do to differentiate your products & services to customers from yourcompetitors?By giving more dicount to the customers than other retail stores,and by helping thecustomer individually. We have different trained number of staff(persons) who help thecustomers to satisfy there needs & wants.
