• Choir back-to-school party Sept. 4th, 6 – 8 PM• Region choir workshop Sept. 12th, 9 – 3 PM, $30• Fundraising pizza party Sept. 14th after school• Fundraiser mid-point turn-in, Sept. 21st during class• Fundraiser ends Sept. 28th

Volunteering Information
• Volunteer forms in back of handbook due Sept. 4th • Sign-up sheets here today• Go to https://volunteer.friscoisd.org to fill out volunteer
application• Please help us!!!!!
T-Shirt Money Collection Day
• $7.50 for S – XL, $9 for XXL (adult sizes only)• Need a Booster parent present during 1st – 4th periods to
collect funds (or at the least to come by that afternoon to pick up the money)
• Will deposit funds into Booster account and pay T-shirt vendor (BV Specialties) directly
Beginning of the Year Party
• Friday, Sept. 4th, 6 – 8 PM (Labor Day Weekend)• Conflicts with football game? Move to earlier time?• Can have it in the choir room, but would like to have it at
a student’s house• Pool party a plus• Food, drinks, and supplies provided by Boosters• Any takers?! (Richies’ house a possibility!)
Fundraising
• Dessert sales – truffles, cookie dough, yummy stuff!• Joining in on the orchestra fundraiser• Will need a Booster parent present for money collection
on Sept. 21st and Sept. 28th • We will fundraise directly into the Booster club account;
Express will require 40% back• Need to supply supplies for party on the 14th • Need to supply incentive rewards: candy grab bags for
the 21st; $50 Gift Card for the top seller; etc.
Concessions
• We will be working the concession stand at selected volleyball and basketball games: Oct.1st, Nov. 2nd, Dec. 10th, Dec. 17th, Jan. 14th, and Feb. 8th.
• Games all on Thursdays at 5:45 PM; report by 5:30 PM• Boosters will need to purchase products to sell from
booster account (Mars and Coke products)• Two shifts: 5:30 – 7:00 PM; 7:00 – 8:30 PM• Will have two to three student volunteers present• Booster parent(s) must be present for duration of shifts
Locker Decorations
• Need parents to help out with designing/creating locker decorations (Shelley?)
• Library will laminate items for you (have to turn in a request – they won’t let us do it ourselves)
• Need to put these together by the end of next week (band and orchestra will likely have theirs then)
• Please see Mrs. Essary for rosters (to incorporate names into the designs); they have changed as of this week
Uniform Overview
• Girls: long black dress (floor/ankle length) OR long black skirt with black top OR black dress pants with black top
• Girls attending UIL will need to wear either the dress or skirt (no pants)
• Boys: white button down dress shirt with collar, black dress slacks, black dress shoes, black socks
• Please see the handbook for more detailed information• October 29th (Fall concert) is first definite formal
performance • Please see Mrs. Essary with financial or other concerns
– will be kept confidential
Officers
• Last year: President Shelley Dunton; Treasurer Christie Keeland
• Any nominations for president? Shelley willing to remain if none?
• Will definitely need to nominate a new treasurer. This person will be directly responsible for handling financial matters. Christie will help get everything transferred to the new treasurer.
