The dish & dine Book CluB will be meeting on Monday, February 13th at 2:00 pm. We will be reading and preparing dishes from Forks Over Knives—the Cookbook: over 300 recipes for plant-based eating all through the year by Del Sroufe. Call Cassie to join 401-949-3630 ext. 117. Menard will provide examples of what to look for in development and how to identify different species. She will also discuss when and what to use to treat them. The book discussion group for 4th and 5th graders and their parent/caregiver will meet on Wednesday February 15th at 4:00 pm. Each month we meet to discuss a book we have all read that is chosen by the children’s librarian. Come join in the fun. Please call 949-3630 x2 for more information.

saTurday sPeCial Sensory Friendly Storytime

An interactive storytime for children of all abilities. Books, music and sensory exploration! Saturday, February 11th, 12:00 – 1:30 pm. Children ages 12 and under and their families may register at the children’s room desk or by calling 949-3630 x2.

kinderGarTen CounTdownChildren who will be entering Kindergarten this fall are invited to a special series of story times at the library! We will be counting down to Kindergarten with stories, songs, and activities. Register today to join the fun on Wednesday, February 22nd at 6:30 PM. Registration can be taken at the children’s desk or by phone at 949-3630 ext. 2.

CreaTive Corner

February 26th is naTional Tell a fairy Tale day! Storytelling is an oral tradition. Find a friend or family member and tell them your favorite fairy tale or create a new tale of your own.

Children’s BuBBleBraden Hoyt, age twelve, will display his LEGO Star Wars collection in the children’s room bubble. Braden likes to collect LEGO Star Wars because they are fun to build with, take apart and then make new things.

The MiddlesAges 9-12 please join us on our NEW night: the 4th Monday of every month from 6:00-7:00 p.m. We'll kick off the new session on February 27th with a fun-filled evening of games, including Minecraft! Come for the games, stay for the snacks! Register online.

Paws To readLooking for a new friend who LOVES to lis-ten to stories? Sign up to read to a therapy dog on Monday, February 6th! 10 minute sessions are available between 6 and 7 p.m. Visit the Children’s Room or call 949-3630 ext. 2 for more information.

Children are invited to drop-in and get creative on Saturday, February 4th and 18th. On these Saturdays, from noon to 4 pm, children can show their creativity by using fun materials to make an original piece of art!
