When you go on your daily walk see if you can spot some letters! Reception: can you find the whole alphabet? Learn how to make your bed and make it every day. Can you find some pairs of socks in your house? How many pairs of socks do you have? Reception: can you count your socks in twos? Can you sing some number songs? Reception: Can you change the words to make a new number song, instead of five little ducks swimming one day, how about five little cats fishing…? Watch a nature programme with your adult, talk about what happens. Reception: Can you write a fact about an animal you saw in the programme. Can you balance on one hand and foot? How many different ways can you find? Phone an older relative for a chat and find out what their favourite animal is. Reception: Can you draw a picture of it and post it to them? Can you go for a walk in the woods and look for bluebells? Reception: You’re not allowed to pick them, but can you take a photo or draw a picture? Read a story to your cuddly toy. Collect some food containers from the cupboard. How many cuboids, cylinders and cubes can you find? Which birds can you spot outside your window? Magpies? Pigeons?
