brand has a unique identity. This identity

encompasses such characteristics as

strength, durability and performance —

the thoughts that should come to mind

when a building professional sees the

Integrity name. The Integrity logo is designed to reflect this unique identity. So it

is really more than a logo that is at stake here. It is the identity, the very essence,

of a brand. This identity is preserved and enhanced when the Integrity logo is

used in a consistent manner. That’s what these guidelines are all about. They are

meant to help you use the Integrity logo in a way that protects and enhances the

brand identity. Please review this information and provide it to any vendor who will

reproduce the logo. And please report any misuse of the logo to the Marketing

Communications Department.

This document shows the components of the Integrity® logo and how to use it correctly. These guidelines are easy to follow once you have familiarized yourself with them. To ground yourself in the proper use of the logo, simply review each of the content areas below.

The logo shown below has been chosen as the one symbol which will represent Integrity Windows and Doors. The logo consists of three elements which have been carefully sized and spaced to create a visual unit. This visual unit is called a ‘signature’. It is important to reproduce the signature exactly as shown, every time it is used.

The signature consists of the Integrity logotype, the accompanying tagline and the registered trademark symbols. each element has been carefully selected,

sized and positioned. These combined elements are called the Integrity signature. The individual

elements that comprise the signature can never be repositioned, resized, or changed.

When using “built to Perform.®” in copy, the “b” and “P” must always be capitalized. This rule also applies when using the tagline as a headline or a standalone statement. The registered trademark

symbol, ® must also be included with the first mention on every page.

When a situation doesn’t allow for the complete, preferred signature, use of the alternate signature is

permitted. The alternate signature is comprised of the Integrity logotype and the registered trademark

symbol.

When at all possible, we recommend the use of the preferred signature which is comprised of the three

elements; the Integrity logotype, the accompanying tagline and both registered trademark symbols.

guidelines have been established to ensure the Integrity signature remains visible and legible in all applications. The clear space guideline ensures the signature is set apart from typography, photography, other graphics and the edge of the page. The minimum size guideline ensures the signature will remain legible when reduced.

A spacing unit designated as “x” will indicate the minimum clear space that must surround the signature in all reproductions. “x” is the height of the letter forms in the word “Integrity.” As the signature reduces and enlarges, the spacing unit “x” also reduces and enlarges. leave one “x” space surrounding the signature. Do not allow typography, graphics, photography or the edge of the page to encroach into this “x” clear space.

To ensure the words “Windows and Doors” and “built to perform” remain visible and legible, the signature may not be reduced below 7/8". Please keep in mind that all elements within the signature must reduce and enlarge as a unit. Do not alter the size of the “Windows and Doors” or the “built to perform” portion of the signature for added visibility.

When using the alternate logo, the signature may not be reduced below 11/16".

If you encounter a situation that requires the signature to be reproduced smaller than the minimum size guidelines, (i.e.-giveaways) you must obtain prior approval from the Integrity Windows and Doors Marketing Department.

use the positive signature against a white background or a light-colored, neutral background.

only use black logo with outlined diamond when half tones are not allowed. With both of these signatures the background must be light enough to display the

use the red diamond signature whenever your color selection allows. Avoid backgrounds that do not provide adequate contrast and visibility for the

signature. only use the white logo with the outlined diamond when printing on a dark red background.

A simple rule of thumb is to ensure that the background provides enough contrast to the logotype for maximum visibility

you may use the positive signature against any light-colored background. The background must be light enough to provide adequate contrast for the logotype and accompanying taglines. When you must place the logo against a patterned background, be sure there is enough contrast so that the type remains legible.

This use should be reserved for reproduction against a black, or dark-colored background. use neutral colors as the background MuST provide adequate contrast for the signature. When selecting a background color for the Integrity signature, make sure the value of the color (lightness or darkness) will provide adequate contrast to the signature. Select a color that will complement, not conflict, with the signature.

There is only one correct arrangement for the Integrity signature. It is illustrated on page 2 of this

manual. A complete set of artwork has been provided for you to use when reproducing the signature.

The one color logo options were created for use when only one color is available. The diamond must always be transparent when used in a one color application. Do not use these logos when more colors are allowed.

multiple loGo usaGe

There may be instances where it is appropriate or advantageous to use the Integrity signature in direct affiliation with another logo. Cooperative programs with dealers and distributors; government agency programs; or home builders are examples of this type of affiliation. In the absence of absolute guidelines, ensure you follow all guidelines for the use of the Integrity signature, and retain a minimum clear space between other logos.

energy STAr is a voluntary partnership among the u.S. Department of energy, the u.S. environmental

Protection Agency (ePA), product manufacturers, local utilities, and retailers. Partners, such as Integrity

Windows and Doors, help promote energy-efficient products by labeling with the energy STAr logo.

We are proud of our energy STAr partnership.

The preferred color for the energy STAr logo is the energy STAr blue (100% Cyan).

Alternate versions in black or reversed out to white are allowed. The energy STAr logo can be found on MarvinMarketingexpress.com. More information

The ePA requires a minimum clear space that must surround the energy STAr signature equal to 1/3 the height of the energy portion of the logo. Do not

allow typography, graphics, photography or the edge of the page to encroach into the clear space. The graphic box within the energy STAr mark

may not be reduced smaller in width than 3/8" to ensure the type remains legible.

When using energy STAr in copy, all letters must be typeset in uppercase. The energy STAr name

is a registered trademark of the u.S. government. The registration mark must be added to the first

mention of the energy STAr name on every page. Include energy STAr registration information

when using the energy STAr logo.

use caution when placing any text in direct association with the Integrity signature. The text must complement, not detract from the signature. When printing a street address, web address or any other information in direct association with the Integrity signature, use the nobel type family. It complements the logotype and provides a consistent family appearance within the Integrity collateral.

The distributor’s or dealer’s business identity should be placed first or in top position over the Integrity signature. A spacing unit designated as “x” indicates the standard clear space for other advertising material. however, the proximity of

the Integrity signature in exterior signage should allow for 2 times the “x” in clear space for height and width. no portion of the company’s identity

or name should encroach into the clear space requirements for the Integrity signature.

Considering the distributor’s or dealer’s business identity should have primary placement, the Integrity

signature should be represented smaller than the distributor’s or dealer’s business identity. The Integrity

signature may not be any larger than 75% of the other’s identity height or width, whichever is the

closest dimension to Integrity’s measurement. Integrity’s signature measures from either the top of the ‘red

diamond’ to the baseline of ‘Windows and Doors’ or width from the far left of the ‘red diamond’ to the right of

the ‘y’ in Integrity. The tagline should not be included in the measurement.

retailers may not use the Integrity logo in any exterior signage without written approval from Integrity Windows and Doors. no part or portion of the Integrity signature may be used in the name or logo of distributor’s or dealer’s business identity. The signage should clearly communicate to customers that they are working with a distributor or dealer of Integrity and not directly with Integrity Windows and Doors.

no descriptor line should be added to the Integrity signature. A company, however, may use a descriptor line to describe themselves as an Integrity supplier, distributor or dealer as part of their business identity.

The elements of the Integrity signature must meet our graphic guidelines without alterations or exclusions. If the manufacturing of an exterior signage will change the look or appearance of the Integrity signature, the signature should not be used. When legibility becomes a concern, the alternate signature without the tagline may be used in exterior signage.

There are hundreds of type families that are available for use in advertisements, brochures, and other collateral pieces. When producing these pieces, use of the nobel type family ensures consistency with the Integrity® signature and collateral material. nobel is the preferred type family for use in Integrity collateral.
