A student receiving a “4”, is most likely one who has had a lot of French from elementary school, French immersion training, or perhaps has French within their family background. It could also be for a very motivated student who has worked very hard to obtain an excellent level of knowledge in that outcome! Felicitation!A student receiving a “3”, is a student who is at grade level for the course and is doing very well.  The student has achieved and worked to a level which is right on schedule for continuing on to the next level. Bravo!A student receiving a “2”, is a student who is at a satisfactory level for grade level and probably is more of a beginner with a limited amount of French coming in from elementary school.  This student is fine, but will need to be on task during class time to ensure success. Don’t give up! A student receiving a “1”, is a student that is definitely a beginner to French.  They may need to spend some extra time during lunchtime tutorials to catch up on some of the groundwork or foundational vocabulary to ensure success.  No problem, you’ll get there! :)
