In this class, you will be exploring the wonderful world of late nineteenth to 20th century History. The class will begin with a review of some of the last ideas learned during grade 8, nationalism, imperialism, and the Industrial Revolution. These will help us understand some of the major reasons for the cause of World War I. This event will be the first major focus of our class.
After World War I we will look at the after effects of the war in Europe before turning our major focus over to America for the 1920s, and then the Great Depression.

Exploring 20th Century History!We will then connect the Great Depression to what was happening in Europe at the same time, and the rise of fascism.
The rise of fascism in Europe will next lead into a major unit on World War II.
Our class will try to focus on some of the larger ideas behind these events. We will be looking at continued ideas of imperialism, nationalism and technology.

- Each class, students will receive one of three grades for participation: A+, B, or F
- Students are expected to be in their seats and prepared for class by the time the bell rings, and not run to their seats
- The most important rule to remember is that there is no speaking Korean in class. However, in groups you may write in Korean if needed, and may take 1 one-minute time out per class
