CURRICULUM DAY
Tuesday
Reading- Read your ‘Just Right Book’ and make some notes about what is happening in your book (is there a problem? An exciting moment, something that made you laugh out loud?). OR Read the Guided Reading book and complete the activities. (You only do this once this week.) Writing- Google classroom. Editing and revising. Students view “narrative video lesson 9.” Students then edit and revise their work.
Probability Vocabulary https://watchkin.com/83dad0fccc Watch the lesson on probability and what probability is. Google: Write a meaning for probability. List 3 events that are impossible, unlikely, likely and certain. Seesaw: Complete and sort the probability vocabulary.

Reading- Read your ‘Just Right Book’ and make some notes about what is happening in your book (is there a problem? An exciting moment, something that made you laugh out loud?). OR Read the Guided Reading book and complete the activities. (You only do this once this week.) Writing- Students record themselves reading their narrative stories and post on seesaw. Students then edit their work according to any mistakes they picked up from reading their work aloud. Students post their published work on google classroom.
Seesaw: Look at the given statements and decide whether they are true or false based on the spinner. Mathletics. Complete your assigned probability activities on Mathletics.

Seesaw: Chance in everyday life. Think about the different statements that are given. Describe the chance of them happening using chance vocabulary. Seesaw: Describing events with chance language. Students look at the different marbles in a pack and describe the chance of picking out different colours.

Using a dice, students conduct their own chance experiment and then describe the outcomes using chance language.

Reading- Edgar and Ellen- The Wrong Side of Town. Listen to the read aloud and then use the document provided to clarify some unknown words Writing – Free writing Friday- write about anything, this can be a reflection of your week, a celebration, a care or a concern. You may include a drawing, photos or a clip.
