When and Where? You depart BHS at 1:00 P.M. on May 20 for Disney California Adventure and Disneyland. Grad Nite ends at 2:00 A.M. on May 21. You return to BHS around 3:30 A.M.

When will I be able to buy a ticket? The BHS Grad Nite 2020 ticket sales window opens on Tuesday, February 18 and ends on Friday, February 28, 2020.

What is the cost? The cost is $200.00 which purchases a park-hopper ticket and bus transportation to and from Grad Nite.

What do I need to purchase a ticket? In addition to the purchase price, each senior must submit properly completed “Permission Slip” and “Conduct Agreement” forms. Additionally, you must

meet the “2019-2020 High School Graduation Ceremony Participation Criteria.”

How do I purchase a ticket? Present your “Permission Slip” and “Conduct Agreement” with your $200.00 to the Finance window. Payment must be made in cash, money order, or cashier’s check.

The Finance widow will be open before school and during lunch.

Are tickets NON-REFUNDABLE? Grad Nite tickets become NON-REFUNDABLE at the end of business on the 4th of March 2020. The tickets become NON-REFUNDABLE because Disney treats all Grad Nite ticket sales as final. Grad Nite tickets are valid only on the day of the event which is 20 May 2020. Also, the Grad Nite is a “special hard ticket event” which means that the

ticket is only valid on the day of the event.

What about “park hopping”? Park hopping privileges conclude at 10 P.M. for the Grad Nite Private Party. This means that you should be in California Adventure beginning at 9 P.M. and no

later than 10 P.M.

When do I sign-up for a Grad Nite bus? Sign-ups for a Grad Nite bus are scheduled for the 1st and 4th of May. Please note that bus sign-ups will take place online through the BHS Grad Nite 2020

web page.

What about Annual Passports? Annual Passports, complimentary tickets, or any other Disney offers cannot be used for Grad Nite.

What if I have questions? First, check with the BHS Grad Nite 2020 web page. You go to the BHS web page, click on “Activities” from the menu across the top of the page. From the drop down menu select “Grad Nite 2020.” Or second, contact Mr. Mercado (Grad Nite Advisor) in room 1301 or Ms.

To these ends, I will follow the guidelines for attire and behavior as set out in the BHS Discipline Guidelines for 2019-2020 and by the Disneyland Resort Grad Nite Policies and Expectations. Furthermore, I will remain at all times during the event within Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and the “Esplanade” which is bounded on the north and south by the two parks and on the east and west by the ticket booths. I agree to NOT visit Downtown Disney. I will have my student ID in my possession at all times. I will ride the bus transportation provided to and from this event. I understand that my parent(s)/guardian(s) will be called to come to Disneyland to pick me up if the chaperone in charge deems it is necessary or in my best interest. I understand that if Disney security detains me, Disney will have complete discretion as to whether to permit or not permit my continued participation in Grad Nite. If Disney bans my further participation or places me into Anaheim police custody, I understand that a chaperone will promptly notify my parent(s)/guardian(s). Finally, I am fully aware that any incident of poor or disruptive behavior occurring on the bus or at the Disneyland Resort will be referred to the principal for review to decide if I have forfeited my participation in the 2020 BHS graduation ceremony and/or if additional action is required. 2020 DISNEYLAND® RESORT GRAD NITE POLICIES & EXPECTATIONS

In a tradition that dates back to 1961, Grad Nite at the Disneyland® Resort (the “Resort”) has been a rite of passage for millions of graduating high school seniors. Disney’s goal is to create an environment that is enjoyable for everyone including, without limitation, all Resort Guests and Disney Cast Members. The Resort expects chaperones and school administrators to strictly enforce Grad Nite behavior expectations and policies. With each school’s cooperation, we can carry on the legacy of Grad Nite at the Resort as the magical and memorable experience that it is today.

Similar to the security screening process for all Resort guests, all students and chaperones attending Grad Nite (each an “Attendee” and, collectively, “Attendees”) should expect bag checks and magnetometer screenings at the Resort’s backstage screening area.

In conjunction with the Anaheim Police Department, we will also be conducting screenings for banned substances.

Screenings will include bag searches and the use of drug-sniffing canines. If bag searches and/or the drug-sniffing canines indicate the presence of marijuana (or any of its derivatives including marijuana enriched products) or any illegal narcotics/substance, we will ask the subject Attendee for permission to conduct additional screening.

If any banned substances are found on the bus or in the possession of an Attendee, the matter will be turned over to the Anaheim Police Department for further action. If Schools/Attendees violate this policy, the school may be banned from future Grad Nite events. Attending Grad Nite is not a right, it’s a privilege. Each Attendee attending Grad Nite is responsible for his/her own ticket throughout the duration of the visit. Tickets are not transferable and will not be replaced if expired, lost, damaged or stolen. Attendees will also receive an event wristband upon arrival to the Grad Nite screening location. As a reminder, all students must arrive together with their school in buses, large vans or chaperone-driven vehicles.

To ensure an enjoyable experience for all Attendees and other theme park guests, please respect the theme park rules as well as the following rules:

Excessive celebratory behaviors that can be interpreted by other guests as intimidating and/or disruptive are prohibited at the Resort and during the Grad Nite event:

• Groups walking and/or running in locked arms (this can appear threatening to other guests and is also a safety concern in impacted areas). • Group chanting of any kind including yelling at high volumes in attraction queues.

The following behaviors and activities are not tolerated at the Resort: • Inappropriate touching or physical aggression of any kind. • Failure to comply with a request of a Disney Cast Member (Disney Cast Members are trained to direct Resort guests for optimal safety and help guests comply with the Resort’s standards of conduct). • Inappropriate language (including profanity) and disruptive or offensive behavior. • Disrespectful demeanor toward other theme park guests, Disney Cast Members or other law enforcement officials. • For your safety and that of others, please refrain from running. • Theft or vandalism. • Line jumping/cutting in attraction queues. • Failure to comply with attraction safety rules. • The distribution of printed or recorded materials of any kind. • Photography, videotaping or recording of any kind for commercial purposes. • Feeding, petting, touching, harassing or harming any wildlife in the theme park, including birds.

The following items are prohibited for all Attendees: • Alcoholic beverages and any illegal narcotics/substances. • Marijuana (or any of its derivatives including marijuana enriched products), even if it has been legally prescribed to the student or chaperone. • Self-defense or restraining devices (e.g., pepper spray, mace). • Glass containers of any size or type including perfume/cologne bottles and reusable water bottles. • All outside food and liquids including factory-sealed water bottles. • Firearms, ammunition or weapons of any kind, or objects or toys that appear to be firearms or weapons. • Fireworks or other similarly explosive and/or flammable objects. • Laser pointers or other items deemed potentially harmful or disruptive including Bluetooth speakers. • Smoking, vaping and electronic cigarettes. • Selfie sticks and hand-held extension poles for cameras and mobile devices. • Suitcases, bags, coolers or backpacks, with or without wheels, that are larger than 24” long x 15” wide x 18” high. • Musical instruments. • Large tripods or monopod stands and professional photography equipment and lighting. • Recreational devices such as drones, remote control toys, skateboards, scooters, inline skates and shoes with built-in wheels.

If a chaperone should witness inappropriate student behavior, we ask that the chaperone notify a Disney Cast Member immediately. If a student should witness inappropriate chaperone behavior, we ask that the student notify a Disney Cast Member immediately. If a student or chaperone is ejected from the Resort or Grad Nite, it is the responsibility of the school official(s) to dismiss the student or chaperone from the Resort premises.

We ask that all prescription and over-the-counter medication for students be in original pharmacy container or original labeled container and carried in by a chaperone from the school through the Resort security screening area. Medication may be given back to the student after clearing the security screening process. Any medication needing refrigeration may be stored at Disney California Adventure® Park First Aid.

BURBANK UNIFED SCHOOL DISTRICT 2019-2020 High School Graduation Ceremony Participation Criteria

CRITERIA: This criteria is for graduation participation, not for receiving a diploma or certificate. In order to participate in the graduation ceremony, I/we clearly understand, accept, and will adhere to the following standards:

1. To complete 230 units of study, including all required courses.

2. To complete ten (10) hours of service learning.

3. To have no more than fifteen (15) absences (either excused or unexcused) per period per class per semester of the senior year.

4. To have no more than one (1) suspension during the entire senior year.

5. To have no more than two (2) failing semester grades during the senior year.

6. To have no more than a total of two (2) “unsatisfactory” (U) marks in citizenship on the report card from two different teachers during each semester in the senior year.

7. To be in the 8th semester of high school unless there are extenuating circumstances which prevented me from completing high school within the traditional four years.

8. To clear all indebtedness by 3:30 P.M. on Friday, April 24, 2020, and it also includes indebtedness beyond that point, i.e., textbooks.

9. To have this form signed and on file in the school office by Friday, September 6, 2019.

10. To have Burbank Adult School credit recovery completed by Friday, May 1, 2020.
