I have a lot of experience in events management with a passion for marketing which was ignited whilst studying it at university. I work well in a team but also I am able to lead a team to success. I have ambition and desire to get involved in new opportunities that come my way. Skills and achievements Teamwork I successfully integrated into an after school care team by getting know the other staff and offering to help out with extra jobs outside of my role; this enabled me to become a valued member of the team. I was subsequently offered work in the nursery during term time in addition to my holiday club position. Whilst I was volunteering for the Worcester County Council I had great fun working with children running group activities by working in a team with the other volunteers. Time Management and Organisation I manage my time well which I have shown during my placements at college. As a part of my course I successfully completed two days a week work experience in either nurseries or schools and I demonstrated excellent organisational skills to keep up to date with deadlines in order for me to carry out lessons and activities successfully alongside my part time job working in another school. I always set personal goals which are challenging but achievable therefore completing my tasks on time and to a high standard. Self-motivation I was accepted into 4 out of my 5 options for university, all studying Events Management despite me applying for a course that didn’t di rectly link with my previous course. I had to work extra hard gaining more experience in the events industry, including being a student ambassador, helping to run open days and volunteering at other events including catering at an art exhibition for DJD Architects. Confidence I have grown in confidence over the last few years from moving away from home and travelling abroad to America, Canada and Germany alone, I have gained independence and self-confidence to be able to overcome problems that may arise. I have worked with I LOVE TOUR (a company that run student sports festivals) which again has built up my confidence with working with wide range of customers and staff within large events. Communication During my time with I LOVE TOUR one of my many roles was to work in reception in a hotel dealing with queries from customers (sometimes challenging) and problems, and I had the confidence to deal with them and answer the customer’s questions with professionalism. During my time at St Michael’s church I had regular meetings with my supervisor to discuss progress on the event. I communicated well with the team, as part of my role was to gather information about the resources needed for the event.

I am an enthusiastic individual who enjoys new challenges. I have a lot of experience in events management with a passion for marketing which was ignited whilst studying it at university. I work well in a team but also I am able to lead a team to success. I have ambition and desire to get involved in new opportunities that come my way.

Skills and achievements Teamwork

● I successfully integrated into an after school care team by getting know the other staff

and offering to help out with extra jobs outside of my role; this enabled me to become

a valued member of the team. I was subsequently offered work in the nursery during

term time in addition to my holiday club position.

● Whilst I was volunteering for the Worcester County Council I had great fun working

with children running group activities by working in a team with the other volunteers.

Time Management and Organisation ● I manage my time well which I have shown during my placements at college. As a

part of my course I successfully completed two days a week work experience in

either nurseries or schools and I demonstrated excellent organisational skills to keep

up to date with deadlines in order for me to carry out lessons and activities

successfully alongside my part time job working in another school.

● I always set personal goals which are challenging but achievable therefore

completing my tasks on time and to a high standard. Self-motivation

● I was accepted into 4 out of my 5 options for university, all studying Events

Management despite me applying for a course that didn’t directly link with my

previous course. I had to work extra hard gaining more experience in the events

industry, including being a student ambassador, helping to run open days and

volunteering at other events including catering at an art exhibition for DJD Architects. Confidence

● I have grown in confidence over the last few years from moving away from home and

travelling abroad to America, Canada and Germany alone, I have gained

independence and self-confidence to be able to overcome problems that may arise.

● I have worked with I LOVE TOUR (a company that run student sports festivals) which

again has built up my confidence with working with wide range of customers and staff

within large events. Communication

● During my time with I LOVE TOUR one of my many roles was to work in reception in

a hotel dealing with queries from customers (sometimes challenging) and problems,

and I had the confidence to deal with them and answer the customer’s questions with

professionalism.

● During my time at St Michael’s church I had regular meetings with my supervisor to

discuss progress on the event. I communicated well with the team, as part of my role

was to gather information about the resources needed for the event.

customer service with the member of Cardiff business club as I work behind the

reception.
