GOV.UK Transition: Suggested go-live checklist It can be a busy few weeks leading-up to the move of your content to GOV.UK. We’ve produced this checklist to help agency and arm’s-length-body transition leads at this crucial time. Your Transition Manager will work with you to determine the best approach to go-live. In some cases this will be launching on GOV.UK on the same day that your redirects will happen, in others it may be that your redirects happen a few days after you launch on GOV.UK. The checklist is part the guide to GOV.UK Transition and should be read in conjunction with: Redirecting traffic and archiving old content Communicating go-live Guide to building content Prepare: at least 2 weeks before go-live Share top messages and agree communications activity (Agency with GDS support) Staff go-live communications start Stakeholder go-live communications start Twitter go-live messages start Reactive media lines to take ready (available from your TM) Agree redirection approach (GDS and Agency) Plan and create mappings Archiving considerations Redirection checklist (GDS) Create AKA domain if necessary (Agency) Agency technical team aware of domain changes (GDS and Agency) Build agency corporate information (GDS and Agency) Agree ZenDesk process and handoffs (GDS and Agency) Provide email address for anonymous feedback (Agency) Provide email address for on page feedback (Feedex) access (Agency) Set-up analytics dashboards for Agency (GDS)
