RATIONALE:-

Thermoplastic Rubbers are a relatively new class of polymers which differ from conventional

rubbers in the sense that this product behaves like rubber at normal temperature but can be

processed like plastic at elevated temperatures. There are new engineering plastics entering

automobile and engineering sector as high performance materials. Student must be familiar with

these materials .to understand modern plastics & rubbers used in the industries.

OBJECTIVES:-

At the end of course student will be able to:-

Understand thermoplastic rubbers & Types of TPEs. Their properties and applications.

Understand engineering plastics as high performance materials.
