handle diversity: The Shunner’s Profile The Tolerator’s Profile Celebrator's Profile

Tolerator’s Profile Although they believe everyone

deserves to be different, Tolerators are mostly neutral. They don’t shun diversity, but don’t embrace it either.

Moto: “You do your own thing and let me do mine. You don’t bother me and I won’t bother you.”

Celebrator’s Profile

They value the differences in everything. Diversity is taken as a strength and appreciate it. Celebrators realized that you don’t have to agree with others, but they understand that together, they achieve more.

Shunner’s Profile Shunners are afraid of the common

differences found in one another. They are convinced that their way of life is the best, right, and only way.

In order to get to Synergy, follow this Action Plan:

1. Define the Problem or Opportunity2. Understand the idea of others3. Share your ideas4. Brainstorm for new options and

ideas5. Find the best solution

The different roles that exist in every successful team:

• Plodders• Followers• Innovators• Harmonizers• Show-offs

• The plodders are the determined ones in the group. Once they stick to something, they finish it.

•Followers are like the leader assistants. When presented with a good idea, they make sure it is done right.

• Innovators offer the creativity in the group.

• The harmonizers job is to make sure everyone is at peace with one another. They make sure everyone cooperates.

•Show-offs bring the encouragement and momentum that is needed in a team in order to bring success.

Summary Habit six is all about learning to work

together with others in order to come up with the best solution possible. There is an action plan that goes along with it. It consists of five easy, yet effective steps. Teamwork is the key. Every person that belongs to a team plays a different role. Whether it’s being a show-off or a relaxed harmonizer, they are all critical in a team. Habit 6 comes in handy in all situations, varying from solving a problem with your best friend, or your great aunt.
