Processing Activity

ACTIVITY Experiment with heavy and light objects. Using objects of varying weights, like a feather, a sheet of paper, a toy or a ball, demonstrate dropping an object from standing height and observe what happens. Describe how the object feels and how it falls to the ground. “The feathers are light, and they fell slowly.” “The ball bounced when it hit the floor.” Hand the objects to your baby and encourage her or him to do the same.
