A Tuesday morning

Bible study for women

Let us love one another ~ John 15:12

Our Bible Studies:Our prayer is that we provide you a place to grow in your knowledge of Christ, turning God’s word loose in your heart to change you in amazing ways. We desire to have an atmosphere where you can connect with other women; a place where we as women are regularly and consistently lifting each other up.

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” Ecclesiates 4:9-10

When: Tuesday mornings 9-11:15 September 18th - May 14th

Where: Lake Bible Church / Great Room

Session One (Sept. 18th - Dec. 4th):

NehemiahAverage Weekly Study Time: 1-3 hours

Nehemiah, an ordinary man placed in unusual circumstances as the cupbearer to King Artexerxes; a man faithful to God in the midst of a pagan world. Join us in this study of grace, obedience, and trust as we explore his life and his calling to rebuild the walls of a desolate Jerusalem.

Session Two (Jan 8th - May 14th)

James - A Study of MercyA Beth Moore StudyAverage Weekly Study Time: 1-3 hours

Be inspired to put your faith into action in practical ways as you get to know both the man and the Book of James. In this interactive study we will explore such concepts as joy, hardship, faith, wisdom, single-mindedness, the tongue, humility, prayer and more. Join us in this walk of faith that will surely change our lives.

Feminine Appeal (Marriage Study)Teacher: Melinda SmithAverage Weekly Study Time: 1-3 hours

Carolyn Mahaney, the author of Feminine Appeal, identifies with the challenges facing women in today's world and meets them with the guidance of God's Word. The feminine virtues described in Titus 2 have transformed her life and the lives of countless other women. This book will show you the appeal of being a woman who lives for God and helps others do the same. Grow as a woman of character, wife, mother and friend.

Precepts by Kay Arthur: MatthewThe King and the Kingdom of HeavenChapters 1-13Teachers: Robin Forsyth and Marilyn DemingAverage Weekly Study Time: 2-3 hours

This amazing study brings you face to face with the long awaited Jewish Messiah, Jesus Christ. The gospel of Matthew establishes how Jesus alone fulfills all the Old Testament prophesies as the King who will sit on the throne of David. What is Christ’s kingdom? What is the heart and lifestyle like of those in His kingdom? In chapters 1-13 of Matthew, we will answer these questions and walk with Jesus as He explains His kingdom and the Kingdom of Heaven.

GOD IS ENOUGH

LET’S GET TOGETHER!

This year’s theme, God is Enough, communicates hope and strength in today’s world, yet may also bring challenges when we try to put it into practice. God is enough. This is our year to claim it fully. From our opening day until we finish in May, we are going to focus our time on the Word of God and find woven within its pages the fact that He truly is all we need. Believe it. Personalize it. Grow. Encourage others in it. Take for yourself all God has to offer and let Him do a wonderful work in and through you.

In Him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God

lives by His Spirit.

Ephesians 2:22

STUDIES FOR OUR WINTER TERM

The new year brings with it a new routine! This session, from Jan 10 - May 9, you have three wonderful study options to choose from. Find the one that best meets your need to grow and serve

then join us weekly for worship, devotion time and on to small group discussion.

PRECEPT UPON PRECEPT: ACTS (Chapters 1 - 12)

As we study chapters 1-12, you will learn how the Gospel was spread through the apostles who tesified through the power of the Holy Spirit. After Jesus’ ascension to heaven, the author Luke records what happens in the early days of the church. Be encouraged by the results of the faithful servants holding forth the truth in a dark world. See how the church grows numerically, geographically, and culturally.

CHILDREN OF THE DAY: 1 & 2 Thessalonians by Beth Moore

Lace up your sandals and walk with us through the dusty streets of Thessalonica. Our study of these two books will be full of encouragement to the fact that whatever your circumstances, they are not accidental - God’s timing and purpose is perfect for you. Be encouraged knowing you are exactly where Christ wants you to be, in a position to draw close and learn of Him.

SERMON ON THE MOUNTby Jen Wilkin

The Sermon on the Mount contains some of the most familiar passages found in the Bible. Most of us have studied bits and pices of it, but this year we’ll be taking a look at these chapters in Matthew as one cohesive, well-ordered message. It will challenge us to think differently about what it means to be a follower of Jesus, a child of God, and one who has been given a heavenly home. We have an opportunity to learn from Jesus, just as His disciples did.

FALL SESSIONSeptember 20 - December 13, 2016

BECOMING A WOMAN WHOSE GOD IS ENOUGHby Cynthia Heald9 - 11:15am

We all want genuine contentment but so few seem to find it. Perhaps it’s partly due to the fact that we don’t know our God nearly well enough. This study reminds us that He wants to bless us with His fullness and teach us to depend on Him completely. We will learn the importance of turning away from things of the world to the Lord Himself, from selfishness to humility, from unbelief to a deeper trust and walk with God. No matter where you are in life, God is ready to meet you there and reveal HImself to you so that you might indeed, be a woman whose God is enough.

HAND IN HANDChildren’s Ministry 9 - 11amBible Study 11:30 - 1pm

Do you enjoy children or feel an urgency to help weave God’s Word into their hearts and lives? Consider joining our Hand in Hand children’s program and attend their own Bible study together later in the morning. The fellowship is warm and welcoming, lunch and childcare are provided, and you are impacting little lives that are open to hearing God’s Word. It’s a win-win opportunity!

A simple approval process is required prior to being placed in a classroom.
