That is the lesson for us. We have to see ourselves in the place of the Israelite soldiers, whether we are vanguard orrear guard. I would have to say that knowing the times that we are living in, we are the rear guard. We are the end ofthe procession down through history. Now the first day of the month is what? Rosh Chodesh or the Festival of the New Moon, Israel's monthly moed orappointment with Yahweh. It's a time to assemble to hear the prophets. According to the Biblical calendar, theSabbath is reset each new moon so that there are four consecutive weeks of seven days long preceded by RoshChodesh which is not a Sabbath but a day differently set-apart to Yahweh - the First Day of the Month. At the end ofthe four 7-day weeks an extra day is occasionally added (because of the moon's orbit of less than exactly 29 days)oris directly followed by Rosh Chodesh. The Book of Jasher tells us that the first day Israel marched around Jerichowas the beginning of the Second Month so the following six days would have been the ordinary 'week days' beforethe Sabbath, the Sabbath Day always falls on the eighth day after the New Moon. Thus the day after the fall ofJericho was the Sabbath on which they rested - the first Sabbath of that month.

The Battle of Jericho is not, of course, the only piece of direct evidence that a solar-lunar calendar was followed bythe Israelites and commanded by Yahweh in perpetuity. Consider the story of the battle fought between King BenHadad of Syria and King Ahab of Northern Israel and what Yahweh directed His prophet to tell the Israelite king:

"Go, strengthen thyself, and mark, and see what thou doest; for at the Teshuvah Hashanah (the turn of the year,springtime) Melech Aram (the King of Aram/Syria) will come up against thee" (1 Ki.20:22, OJB).

Teshuvah Hashanah was the first day of the biblical New Year in the first month of Aviv (also known as Nisan). Thatday is also Rosh Chodesh or 'New Moon Day'. Every lunar month begins with a Rosh Chodesh, including the firstwhich marks the beginning of the New Year (around March/April in the Roman system). Ahab received a prophecythat Ben Hadad would return on the first day (Rosh Chodesh) of the following year."And it came to pass at the Teshuvah Hashanah (the turn of the year, New Year's Day, Aviv 1), that Ben Hadadmustered Aram (Syria) and went up to Aphek, to war against Yisra'el (Israel). And the Bnei Yisrael (Sons of Israel)were mustered, and were all outfitted as battle-ready, and marched out to meet them, and the Bnei Yisra'el (Sons ofIsrael) encamped opposite them like two little flocks of Lizzie (goats); but Aram (the Syrians) filled ha'aretz (thecountry). And there came an Ish haElohim (man of God), and spoke unto Melech Yisra'el (the King of Israel), andsaid, Thus says Yahweh, because Aram (the Syrians) have said, Yahweh, is Elohei Harim (God of Hills) but notElohei Amakim (God of Valleys) therefore will i deliver all this hamon haGadol (vast multitude) into thine yad (hand),and ye shall know that I am Yahweh. And they encamped these opposite those shivat yammim (seven days). And soit was, that in the Yom HaShevi'i (seventh day) the milchamah (battle) was joined; and the Bneu Yisr'el (Sons ofIsrael) slaughtered Aram (the Syrians) a hundred thousand foot soldiers in Yom Echad (one day)" (1 Ki.20_26-29,OJB).

Troy Miller explains:"Here, we have another 'skirmish' for six days, before the battle was joined in earnest on the seventh day. Seventhday of WHAT? The seventh day of the first month. The seventh day of the month is the 6th day of the work week(see my diagram above). All this was done that the Sabbath of Creation might be preserved ALIVE for believerseverywhere. You simply CANNOT have a Sabbath on a repeating seven-day cycle and have these sevenconsecutive day battles in Scripture. [Yahweh] is not a Mighty One (Elohim/God) of confusion, and [Yahweh] waswith Israel during BOTH of these seven-day battles."

This is irrefutable evidence that Saturday is not the Creation Sabbath inaugurated by Yahweh and that this sameCreation Sabbath, which we are supposed to still be observing "forever" is not part of an unbroken Roman cycle ofseven-day weeks. Rosh Chodesh or New Moon Days interrupt the seven day count every month after four seven-day weeks.

ConclusionThe Battle of Jericho is one of the most powerful witnesses to the emet (truth) of the Luni-solar Sabbath and leavesno loopholes for Enochian or other solar calendars. The fact that the soldiers were killing people after the walls fellproves they were waging war and that they could not have done this on the sabbath day without violating thecovenant, one they had taken so seriously some days before by getting circumcised. The Battle of Jericho is,therefore, a powerful witness of Yahweh's true Sacred Calendar and an indictment of all the rest.

And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war; and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do SIX DAYS. And seven priests shall bear before the ark (of the covenant) seven trumpets of ram’s horns: and the SEVENTHDAY ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. And it shall come to pass,that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and WHEN YE HEAR THE SOUND OF THE TRUMPET, allthe people shall SHOUT WITH A GREAT SHOUT; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shallASCEND UP every man straight before him” (Joshua 6:3-5).

And they utterly destroyed ALL that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, andass, with the edge of the sword … And they BURNT the city with FIRE, and ALL that was therein” (Joshua 6:21-24).

The strange thing is that the events of Jericho happened in the Spring, at the Passover festival. So even theIsraelites aren’t sure why they do this reenactment of the Battle of Jericho during the Feast of Tabernacles.

Please read this chapter in the book for all the wonderful details concerning how God“miraculously SAVED only “onehouse” of people out of the Jericho before its destruction. This heralds the “rapturous event of the righteous” ofChrist’s house. “Only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and ALL that are with her in her HOUSE” (Joshua 6:16).

Here, it is good to keep Leviticus 23:42-43 in mind. In other words: The Scriptures state that the seven days of theFeast of booths symbolized the forty desert years after the Exodus. But, it is easy to see that the end of that feast’sseventh and last day, the “great” one, obviously symbolized the time when the Israelites’ desert-sojourn came to itsend – the time when they crossed over the river Jordan and entered the Promised Land.

So, the seven days of the Feast of booths in themselves pictured the desert years, but the end of the seventh andlast day pictured the event in the days of Joshua when the Israelites finally entered the Promised Land. This wasalso echoed in the temple rituals. It was because of those rituals, and what they symbolized, that the seventh andlast day came to be called “the great one of the feast”.

Did that “last great day” have a forward-looking symbolism of some kind? Literally, it pictured the event in the days ofJoshua when the Israelites finally entered the Promised Land. But, let us not forget that in New Testament times, thesaints are on our way to a better Land, the one of Hebrews 11:16 – “Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.”

Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a weddingbanquet for his son. He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but theyrefused to come. “Then he sent some more servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I haveprepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to thewedding banquet.’

“But they paid no attention and went off—one to his field, another to his business. The rest seized his servants,mistreated them and killed them. The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers andburned their city. Matthew 22:1-7

1 Corinthians 15:52 “In a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the LAST TRUMPET. For the trumpet will sound, thedead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.”

As we've shared prior, in a Jewish wedding, the Bride will walk around the groom 7 times, again, a reenactment ofthe Battle of Jericho that took place on the 7th day of Unleavened Bread. I believe that this is our Wedding Day.

God miraculously SAVED only “one house” of people out of the Jericho before its destruction. This heralds the“rapturous event of the righteous” of Christ’s house. “Only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and ALL that are with herin her HOUSE” (Joshua 6:16). A verse that reminds us of hiding in one's chambers until the indignation will beoverpassed

The red cord that she hung out her window symbolizes the blood of Christ saving her.

Begin to analyze where you are now. Are you where you want to be with Me? Do you hear Me speaking to you? Doyou know the way you should go?

There is little time to prepare. Seek My Face while I can be found. You must walk closely with Me that I may leadand guide you through what is coming.

In these times I will take your pride and your arrogance. I will take your independent spirit and your attitudes ofjudgment. I will help you conform more to My Image, but you will not find it a pleasant experience, for I will also takeyour comforts. I will take many of those you hold most dear. I will take all I desire to take.

I have told you the events I have planned for these times are for the unbelievers, yet some of My Own shall endurethem as well, that they may be refined. I desire a holy and spotless Bride. Those who are willing to sacrifice thepleasures of the flesh to walk holy before Me will I greatly reward in that time. They shall do great exploits for MyGreat Name’s sake.
