Glob’s Maze: Around the Bend!

Having rescued the

biscuit barrel Glob

discovered that all

the letters had

fallen off. How

many words of

three letters or

more can you make

from the jumble of

letters below?

Oh no!

Glob knew he shouldn’t have tried making blancmange in the

toilet. At first it had seemed like a good idea. What could be

better than a mixing bowl that washes itself? All you needed to

do was pull the chain and the flush would do all that tedious

washing up for you!

Using a jar of jam, cornflour, some milk and a huge wooden

spoon glob began to make the mixture. All seemed to be going

well and within minutes the toilet bowl filled with sticky pink

blancmange. Using a ladle Glob filled an empty jelly mould.

Everything was working out really nicely.

Things started to go wrong when he started to clean up. First

of all the soap made so many suds that they over spilled onto

the floor. Desperately he tried to shovel the bubbles back into

the toilet bowl, pulling the chain to get rid of them. Again and

again he shovelled until the floor was almost clear.

It was only then that he noticed, his biscuit barrel was missing!

Staring forlornly at the toilet bowl he knew there was only one

place it could be. He sighed, it was lucky indeed that he had

given the bowl such a good scrub.

It looked like there was no choice. He had to get that biscuit

barrel! With an enormous amount of effort the little octopus

managed to squeeze into the toilet bowl and around the U-

bend. The problem was that the plumbing in Gull Cove Cottage

was more than a little haphazard.

See if you can trace Glob’s route through the pipes to the

biscuit tin at the end.
