COVID -19 READINESS

To Shield DTIs customers from any stress or concerns that may arise from the pandemic and as travel restrictions came in to play the following steps were implemented by DTI for tools in Korea and China

Executive Review to maintain awareness within our die shops:-

• The review takes place weekly and moves die by die over timing, program issues, and concerns.

• Countermeasures and solutions were discussed and implemented during the meeting.

• These meeting are held at night to allow for the senior management teams to set clear goals for the week.

Establish a “checks and balance” review with each die shop utilizing multiple lines of communication. Along with the Executive Review each of the functional teams hold independent meetings and report and concerns.

• DTI Design Engineers have continued reviews with the die shop daily

• DTI Build Engineers have reviews with the die shop every two days to review build status.

• Program Management have daily reviews to maintain day to day awareness of the program.

Continue “Boots on the Ground” review of all die build activities including Pre-buyoff and buyoff at our partner die shops.

• Our team of Chinese and Korean Nationals Toolmakers work with our Program Management team to keep all tools tracking to our proprietary web-based Program Management system

DTI designed TROG tools combine the material utilization of a progressive die with the capability of a transfer. Blanks are formed with a progressive operation and then repositioned before completing the parts with a transfer process.

DTI’s 13 TROG tools built for the F-150 program saved Ford $42 Million in material over the life of the vehicle.
