Dr.DebenhamwasappointedasaconsultantatBirminghamChildren’sHospitalin2005.Hehasheldseniorleadershiprolesdeliveringclinicalserviceimprovementsforoveradecade.

In2011throughto2014Dr.DebenhamparticipatedintheHealthFoundation’s“SaferClinicalSystems”programleadingaprojectteamexploringsafetyofclinicalhandoverthroughtheapplicationofHumanFactorsMethods.

Dr.HothihasanevolvingcareerinQualityImprovementandPatientSafetyandiscurrentlytheAssociateMedicalDirectorforQualityImprovement,SafetyandPatientExperienceatGreatOrmondStreetHospital.ShehasledonanumberprojectsincludingtheHealthFoundationfundedproject,‘Activereportingofpatientsafetyincidents

andnearmissesontherenalwardbyinvolvingfamiliesandpatients.’ThisprojectwontheHSJNationalWard2013PatientSafetyandwasshortlistedfortheBMJAwards2014–InnovationTeam.SheisalsoaleadfortheEQuIP(EnablingCliniciansinQualityImprovementandPatientSafety)trainingprogramwhichwasbeennominatedfortheHSJeducationAward2014andNationalPatientSafetyAward2015.In4years,inexcessof200improvementprojectswerecompletedacrossall6qualitydomains.Over£50,000ofsavingswasrealizedthroughoneprojectalone.EQuIPencouragedinnovationandapositivechangeinthecultureoftheNHSbytrainingandsupportingyoungcliniciansintheQIprojects.Individualparticipantshavenotonlyimprovedtheirworking

Dr.NiescierenkohasexperienceinpediatriccareandprogramdevelopmentinChina,Bolivia,Lesotho,Guatemala,Liberia,Indonesia,Uganda,SaudiArabia,TurkeyandSyria.InLiberiasheprovidedpediatrichumanitarianaidintheimmediatepost-conflictsettingpartneringlocalremaininginfrastructuretoUSacademicinstitutionsforthelast8years.Throughthesepartnerships,sustainableprogramsforhealthsystemrebuildingincludingphysicianeducationandcareforvulnerablechildrenweredevelopedinLiberia.Duringthe2014-2015EbolaoutbreaksheledtheLiberianhospitalpublichealthresponseutilizingarapiddeploymentoftrainingdonebylocalhealthcareworkers.ThisworkcontinuedintoLiberia’srecoveryphasewithimplementationofa
