This presentation contains detailed information about the Sport, Commerce, & Culture in the Global Marketplace Study Abroad Program scheduled for next summer. Students can learn about how the program works, the application process, costs, financial aid, course information, and a tentative itinerary for the sites we will visit. By going on this two week trip to Ireland and England and completing the requirements of the program, students can earn 6 hours (2 courses) of elective credits toward their degree. This program has been offered to our students for many years and continues to be one of the most popular at the University of Memphis. How It Works• Full Summer Session

– Able to register for other courses in 1st Summer Session if desired

• Course readings, discussion board participation, and other preparatory assignments before trip

• 1 week in Ireland, 1 week in England – (July 14 – July 29)– Class discussion during site visits, lectures,

Other Information• To fully experience the history and culture of

both countries, there are several “free days” scheduled for touring/sightseeing– Many tours/passes are included in the program

package

• Be sure to pack some athletic gear as students will have the opportunity to participate in some Irish and English sports!!!
