Students work with Mahidol University students in Thailand and community partners to conduct research to beAer understand experiences with flooding and how to build longterm resilience and adaptaCon. Students learn firsthand about social dimensions of water resource management in Thailand during a January trip to Bangkok. Students are paired with research mentors from the community and students from Mahidol University— all pictured here along with the program directors and the former and current President of Mahidol University. In the first year of the program, one-third of the students in the program were first generation or minority students. For the second year of the program 75% of the students are minority, one-third are first generation college students, and for nearly half, this will be their first academic experience abroad.
