Glave

CampaignRules

In this installment for the Glave miniatures game, I will be

explaining the rules for running a campaign. In a campaign

each player will start off his army from a very small force

and work hid way up into a very large army of a set amount

of points. With each victory, the winner of a battle will be

awarded different types of point to use to improve his

soldiers. The looser will also receive points in order to keep

his army balanced, but will be limited as to how he can use

those points.

At the beginning of a campaign, each player starts with a

50 point army of basic troops with no upgrades. Play the

battle as normal. Players that are loosing cannot forfeit a

game until he has lost at least half of his original troop size.

So, if you have 10 troops, you cannot retreat until you have

lost at least 5. In consecutive battles, the number will go up.

Troop upgrades are not counted in this equation. So, later on, if you have 30 troops, you must lose 15 before

retreating.

There are 3 different types of points and 3 different ways

to obtain points.

PERSONAL POINTS: Personal points are earned by

individual troops by delivering wounding blows to enemy

units. If enemy units have more than one wound point, then

you get points for each one. You do not have to take theenemy out of the game to score points against It. Whenever

a troop wounds an opponent, he receives a personal point

which he can use to upgrade weapons, armor, and stats on

himself at the end of the battle (if he survives). Personal

points are not transferable and must be used by the troop

that earned It. If a troop scores a personal point and dies

before the battle is over, then the point is lost.

VICTORY POINTS: At the end of each battle, the winner counts up the amount of units he still has left standing on

the battle field. The winner gets 1 point for each soldier.

You can use victory points to upgrade your army any way

you wish. They can be combined with personal points to

upgrade soldiers, or you can save them up for larger

weapon options.

REINFORCEMENT POINTS: In order to even up theodds, a player that starts a new battle with an army that has

less points than the other gets reinforcement points.

Whatever the difference is in the two armies, the player

with the least amount of points, get the difference in

reinforcement points. For instance, If player A has a 150

point army, and player B has a 75 point army. Player B

would get 25 reinforcement points. Reinforcement points

can only be used to buy basic troops with NO bonuses. So

you can only get melee or ranged troop options with no

upgrades.

After several battles, each army will grow larger, faster. Set

an ending army point value that you want to reach as the

final battle. For example, once each army reaches a size of

500 points, you can play the final battle. The final battle

will be the one to determine who has won the campaign.

This is a short supplement for the Glave miniatures battle

game, but It will add a new sense of perspective to the

game that will make It more diverse. Thanks for reading

and I hope you enjoy the game.
